Simmonds has played alright tbh. He’s not the problem on that line. Simmonds is doing his job he’s creating space for Marner and Matthews but they are not shooting enough

Simmonds big issue is forcing Marner to the left where he's much less effective

I don’t get this bullshit, wdym they don’t deserve a big addition. If you want to win a Stanley Cup, you go out and get someone who can help the offense. That is what they need right now. They need a top 6 forward for can score and create space in front of the net. That will push us into the next tier

He just changed the lines against Calgary

Hes stuck with the Matthews -Marner and JT-Nylander pairs despite them not producing.

He changed the bottom 6 and brought Galchenyuk into the lineup.

He should split up Matthews and marner, the chemistry isnt there.

Have 1 of Matthews/Marner play on a super line and have the 2nd guy play with Hyman + Simmons/galchenyuk

To be fair to Thornton the whole team is cooked. Play too well, and they fall apart. Play too often and they get tired. Rest them too much and they don’t remember how to play.
