Simmonds has played alright tbh. He’s not the problem on that line. Simmonds is doing his job he’s creating space for Marner and Matthews but they are not shooting enough

I’m so angry at myself for thinking this year will be different and this leaf team is different

It's the same overpaid spoiled apathetic core. Changing up some league minimum players won't amount to much.

I think Dubas had a genius plan this offseason. Surround the spoiled selfish overpaid core with grizzled veterans that simply won't tolerate their narcissism. And it appeared to be working. And, like you, I thought the reined in core could be something special.

But I fear things have already come back to normal, and will stay this way. Hope I'm wrong.

I had that feeling like 6 minutes into the game when Forsberg was stopping the puck and not seeing it. Was thinking the huge number of shots is going to get him in the groove and soon we’ll be looking at bubble Joonas Korpisalo.
