It is remarkable to realize that in a 100 year history, the entire record book of this franchise is going to be re-written by Matthews, Marner, Nylander and Rielly.
So that's the solace, then: how many assists Marner got in 2024, record number of elite zone entries by Willie, blah blah blah. Participation trophy for everyone.

What I'll be perusing: No Cup final appearance, no Cup win, no Presidents trophy, so many first round exits including a play-in exit, one playoff round won, game lost to Zamboni driver...

Yeah, real remarkable history by the latest Maple Leafs cohort

Nothing personal homer, but the legacy of past Leafs hard men will not be erased by new assist and goal exploits of some of the worst examples of the "me" generation in pro sports (excluding the NBA).

They're like lazy warehouse workers who start working when the supervisor is checking in for a few days and once the heat is off...they go back to playing cards.
This is actually a perfect comparison and description about this core right now. They're very talented but lazy in their line of work and right when it looks like their favorite boss might get canned as a result of their said lazy work ethic and right when it looks like their cushy work lifestyle might come to an end, they put in effort to make their boss look good and then when it's all clear and the fire watch is off the table, they go back to being lazy again.

Mrazek has been solid for the rebuilding Blackhawks this season, posting a .904 save percentage and a 3.13 goals-against average in 29 appearances entering Tuesday's game against the San Jose Sharks. He's also stopped 2.31 goals above expectation, per Evolving-Hockey.

The 31-year-old journeyman is in the last year of his deal, which carries a $3.8-million cap hit. Chicago acquired him in a trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2022 offseason.

Come again ?

He's a politician...not surprising to me. I wish the board would talk to literally any hockey guy out there to tell them how hoodwinked they have been by that guy. Maybe Chelios has some free time?
Chelios warned us, his prediction was spot on, Shanahan’s a snake, always has been……….

Leafs are weird. After a couple blown leads I could see them doing the "leafy" thing and ending Edmonton's streak with a solid game.

Not this time though. I think Keefe is nearing his end and they get blown out.

I hope in 30 years there will be Leafs fans who have seen a Cup.

Because my generation will be gone.
At least we got 1967, I was a kid but I remember……….

So endth the lesson, amen brother………

I have this feeling they'll show up tonight. Almost like getting out of town after a rough weekend will help relax them a bit.

Then again, what do I know? This team is Jeckyl & Hyde and I really have no clue what version will show up on any given night anymore. Or even each period. Just guessing at this point.

None of these are outside the realm of possibilities, so why be upset when they happen?

Keefe isn't good, but Leafs have more problems than Keefe. This team is so flawed. Team can't even retaliate when Matthews takes a dirty cross check. Enjoy the hockey games folks this team isn't a legit contender

Why not just move on from being a Leaf fan if you're unhappy? Follow another team or do something else with your time. You can always come back to the Leafs again if you think they've changed enough to make you happy again.

i honestly don't understand people continually being unhappy about pthe Leafs and constantly whining about it online. If you're unhappy because you're following the Leafs, stop following the Leafs. It's that simple.

Personally, I think the constant negativity on these boards have driven away most of the sensible and rational Leafs fans. All I see left are a bunch of unhappy people, many of whom I suspect have some kind of a hole in their life that they think something trivial like cheering for a team tha wins a Stanley Cup is going to fill.
Being a fan doesn't mean I need to accept losing. I guess using your idiotic rationale all those Blackhawk fans who complained for decades waiting for a cup should've moved on too. I guess St. louis Blues fans should've done the same thing right?

As for posting my displeasure online, last time I checked this was a messageboard where people posted opinions, if you don't like maybe it's time for you to move on and stop trying to be a pathetic net nanny.

Yeah, most sensible Leaf fans love the fact we haven't won a cup in 56 years. Cool story bro. 👍

As for having a hole in my life, nothing is more sad and miserable than spending your free time crying about someone's opinion on an online forum.

The player personal accolades will be re-written but the 57 year drought probably not

Worked in a warehouse ... obviously, you're talking about a warehouse with too many employees.

Have relatives working in a warehouse and they're struggling to get the loads completed and loaded everyday. Overtime everyday.

Oh, maybe that's because they ship drugs and medical supplies to hospitals. Can't say wait until tomorrow for that life saving drug ...

Never mind.

I just see a team that frequently doesn't appear to know what they're supposed to do next.
You think a team like that would have frequent too many men on the ice penalties?

There's absolutely no way I'm blacked out from this game living in Oshawa and pay Rogers $300+ a month and have both Sportsnet and TSN..............

Someone help here. There's just no way.
