TBH he played himself out of the lineup. He's been pretty f***ing bad the last 15 ish games and Holl has been pretty good. Until Holl does something very stupid to play himself out, I keep running the same D pairs.

Well this isn’t true. He was bad for 2 weeks after the TDL and has been good since. He was significantly better than Schenn and Holl outside of that brief stretch of games.

Meh they either put up or they don't. Anything short of a cup is a disappointment imho. Them making it deep in the playoffs is a good stepping stone and jobs will be saved I bet. But honestly screw all of that this core hasn't done anything and I don't give a rats ass about doing well but not winning it all. Leafs nation deserves a cup and I want us to win one.

The ice in Toronto come playoff time has always sucked.

Refs are passing out penalties to canadian teams already. The leafs will get plenty of penalties man it’s going to be hard not to watch the leafs play in the playoffs but I really don’t think it’s worth watching when the game is won by the referees and not by the team that is the best team

Win the first one.

Anyone watching Bruins vs Panthers could see them going for it from the first puck drop. Frankly the pace Florida chose was unsustainable and imo one of the reasons they outplayed Bruins in the first period.

It didn't work out for Florida, but it's a good strategy. The first goal of a series can alter it. We need to be ready to dish it, but also Tampa is twice as dirty, be ready for a beating.

The amount of boarding and cross-checks away from the puck and referee's eyes Pasta ate last game was insane.

Marner, Matthews, Tavares and Nylander will be targeted just as much. I mean it's easier to focus on Pasta, but Tampa plays such street hockey it evens out.

Teams don't go from being bounced in the first round to a cup overnight. I think ECF would be a great goal to strive for right now.

that's crazy to say anything other than winning the cup is failure.

Given the history of this team i would take any kind of series win at this point and go from there.
