And There are fans who care more about the continued employment of the GM than actually winning. That pendulum swings both ways.
Nobody would take Dubas over a cup win. Nobody.

They've split all of Hedman, Sergachev and Cernak apart for different pairings. That's a very patchy looking defense. Toronto needs to forecheck the shit out of them.
Gotta be honest that looks like the most top heavy team in the league.

That makes absolutely no sense. Kyle Dubas is currently our GM. Nobody has the choice of cheering for the Leafs without Dubas right now. People that would rather see the Leafs lose just so that they can be right about Dubas have something severely wrong with them. All there is to it.
That’s pretty much how I felt about it. I think the Leafs 2nd and 3rd lines grossly outmatch TB’s. But… Vas (and to a lesser extent) Hedman are kinda wildcards too. They can have an impact on a series.
Overall I think the Leafs take this series. Tampa seems to be taking a step back this year. And I did put $100 on the Leafs to take the series. I’m not just talk over here.
Well I think that may be the reason that we see things differently. Many of the educated posters ( I don't include myself as one) have been clamouring for the team to be constructed for the play-offs and to play the right way. The switch seems to have been flipped.
You haven't watched games for the last two years but I think you should. This is not the team you were watching two years ago.
Hedman can be a wild card but the rest of Tampa's defense is a big negative. Perbix and Raddysh in your top four is terrible, we need to abuse this.

I'm going to be very disappointed if this team loses to a defense core with a guy whose name sounds like a cereal brand playing on the top pairing.

So you're conflicted between you wanting the leafs to beat the Bolts and Bruins one the one hand. And you wanting them to lose so that Keefe and Dubas would fired.

Let me try to put it another way. The Leafs could lose in the first round for the next 10 years there are some who would never blame the GM.

Same. I decided to stop watching.
But I could only last half a season.
Still bummed about blowing that series after going up 3-1.
Now I watch and try not to be emotionally invested. I didn't get upset over losing to the bolts last year. After every loss I shut out the Leafs, hockey news, specially this toxic HFboard, until they win a game.
This helped a lot.
