-8 is pretty glaring to be honest. TJ Brodie looks solid with a 10Since Tavares was signed.

We have fans that don’t want the leafs to win the cup so they can be right.I don't follow your logic. If Leafs win that means the management team has done a good job. They will win because of the players and management actions not despite them. You should be happy that this team is potentially set up to compete for the next 5 -10 years. Remember that change is not always good. If the Leafs lose I am afraid for the direction of the team.
Tampa is loading up their top line
And There are fans who care more about the continued employment of the GM than actually winning. That pendulum swings both ways.We have fans that don’t want the leafs to win the cup so they can be right.
What a sad existence.
Nobody would take Dubas over a cup win. Nobody. And There are fans who care more about the continued employment of the GM than actually winning. That pendulum swings both ways.
Luckily, if Keefe wants to he can throw out ROR + McCabe/Brodie to matchup against themThat is a scary top line. The rest is not all that impressive lol
Tampa is loading up their top line
That makes absolutely no sense. Kyle Dubas is currently our GM. Nobody has the choice of cheering for the Leafs without Dubas right now. People that would rather see the Leafs lose just so that they can be right about Dubas have something severely wrong with them. All there is to it.And There are fans who care more about the continued employment of the GM than actually winning. That pendulum swings both ways.
That’s pretty much how I felt about it. I think the Leafs 2nd and 3rd lines grossly outmatch TB’s. But… Vas (and to a lesser extent) Hedman are kinda wildcards too. They can have an impact on a series. That is a scary top line. The rest is not all that impressive lol
Well I think that may be the reason that we see things differently. Many of the educated posters ( I don't include myself as one) have been clamouring for the team to be constructed for the play-offs and to play the right way. The switch seems to have been flipped.Took him long enough! And some success this year will not erase his failings. Looking at his overall tenure, he has been a failure.
I've been a fan longer than most here have been alive. I survived the Ballard years and never lost hope, but the loss to Montreal broke me. It just broke me.
It wasn't just who they lost to, but how they lost. Since then I have hardly watched any regular season games, because I just can't. Last year I don't think I watched any, but did start watching in the playoffs only to see them bow out in the first round yet again. Same old, same old. Nothing new at all.
This year I have watched 2-3 complete games and parts of a handful more. Again, I am getting interested for the playoffs but based on their history over the last decade I am not expecting much and think that Dubas and Keefe have to be removed for the team to have any hope of progressing.
They have accomplished nothing under Dubas and Keefe, absolutely nothing (and no, the regular season doesn't mean a damned thing nor do the idiotic advanced stats that some people cling to as if they are gospel), and I do not see that changing and them becoming a perennial Cup threat. For them to take that step, Dubas and Keefe have to go and winning a round or two this year will stop that from happening and just prolong the underachieving.
See my comments immediately above.
Hedman can be a wild card but the rest of Tampa's defense is a big negative. Perbix and Raddysh in your top four is terrible, we need to abuse this. That’s pretty much how I felt about it. I think the Leafs 2nd and 3rd lines grossly outmatch TB’s. But… Vas (and to a lesser extent) Hedman are kinda wildcards too. They can have an impact on a series.
Overall I think the Leafs take this series. Tampa seems to be taking a step back this year. And I did put $100 on the Leafs to take the series. I’m not just talk over here.
But people WOULD sacrifice a cup win just so Dubas doesn’t win one?Nobody would take Dubas over a cup win. Nobody.
Tampa is loading up their top line
Yes. You can go all the way back to the last page to see someone say exactly that. But people WOULD sacrifice a cup win just so Dubas doesn’t win one?
While I badly want them to win, and to finally beat those turds from Boston, them doing so would save Kyle 'Spreadsheet' Dubas' and Keefe's jobs and I want both of them gone so I am conflicted.
Let me try to put it another way. The Leafs could lose in the first round for the next 10 years there are some who would never blame the GM.Yes. You can go all the way back to the last page to see someone say exactly that.
They don't WANT the leafs to lose 10 years in the first round, just so they can still support him even as they lose over and over again.Let me try to put it another way. The Leafs could lose in the first round for the next 10 years there are some who would never blame the GM.
Irrationality isn’t reserved for just one side of this argument.
What would be worse is they lose to Boston, and Kyle signs an extension. While I badly want them to win, and to finally beat those turds from Boston, them doing so would save Kyle 'Spreadsheet' Dubas' and Keefe's jobs and I want both of them gone so I am conflicted.
