Leafs in 5. If they are going to win a playoff series finally, and they are due, it's going to be decisive. I'm not super confident in their fortitude to tough out any close hard fought affair.

What scares me is that the leafs play badly when they're expected to win.

We saw it in the season against bad teams. We saw it in the Habs series. Once they know that a game should be an easy win, they are not as sharp any more

Absolutely. Year after year we all are ain't we?

This is a great f***ing hockey team playing great f***ing opponents. Just let Tony T tee it up.

Happy he's in the room.

Since Tavares was signed.

HELL YEAH. I finish my last exam on TUESDAY MY DUDES AND DUDETTES. The wobbly pops will be FLOWING all game. Watch for me in the live feed, I may over indulge justttttt a wee little bit lads.

MEANINGFUL HOCKEY AND LAST DAY OF EXAMS. Ohhhhh, what a beautiful day it shall be.

It's time to show that FIGHT boys, gotta prove we WANT it more, we NEED it more. It's the beginning of the Toronto Maple Leafs DYNASTY TIME BOYS AND GIRLS.

GO LEAFS GO

Leafs improved in every area this year. Tampa did not.

Leafs are the better team and the favorites. Tampa needs some very specific things to go right, they need world tier goaltending (possible), the need the Leafs special teams to shit the bed (possible), they need the refs to help them out (possible) and they need the Leafs to continue to have no killer instinct (possible).

But I think Leafs in 6 because they are just the better team

So pumped for this first round.

After last season I didn't think I would be all that excited but I'm ready to be hurt again lol.

Well Doug Gilmour only missed 1 game that season and Marner missed 2 and Matthews missed 8. Plus we had a period where we were experimenting with lines there after the deadline and pretty much had one of the best records in the NHL against actual playoff teams. I think it would be a longshot for a healthy Leafs squad to let us down this time.

To me that fight with Schenn really told Tampa that they are not getting in our grill at all, the scrums were uneventful as well, Tampa knows now this is not the same team, but they are basically the same as last year if not worse

I obviously say this as someone who doesn't have to fight Pat Maroon ever... But whenever someone takes him up on the challenge, he doesn't look like much of a fighter relative to guys who do that job.

He's more like the bogeyman who will taunt and bully with cheap shots but ifsomeone stands up to him, he's just looks like a big slow guy who just hangs in there.

Schenn is the real deal these days though. His full value in playing this role is as a grizzled veteran who can police out there, not as the young kid with the unrealistic expectations weight of the franchise on his shoulders.
