There are ways that we lose this series obviously but if we win the special teams war I love our chances.

If our PP was anywhere near the regular season level we win probably win each series the last 5 years…

Why the hell would you play Samsonov? Tampa will run him at EVERY opportunity because of course they will, why wouldn't they?

Why would they NOT want to weaken a 1st round opponent?

f*** that, you put Woll in both nights, or Murray in both nights, or hell you put in Jett Alexander in both nights, I don't give a f*** you do whatever you to do to protect Samsonov.

And that goes for Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tavares, Reilly, Brodie, McCabe, ROR, EVERYBODY.

Tuesday WOULD be nice to get going into the playoffs, I won't lie.

But It's not more important than staying healthy, these are glorified pre season games they mean NOTHING
Good way to prep for them by protecting everyone come on

Dress them all and tell them to go for the throat.. this year different or not

I'll probably only get to see two games before vacation, and I won't have great internet where I'm going. Same predicament last year, but I managed to sneak into a dingy sports bar and get them to turn on a couple of games. At least if things go poorly I'll have comfort booze on hand.

Same predicament?! Didn't you learn from last year? :P

The problem isn't how good or bad shape the opposing team is. Leafs were clear favorites against the Habs. But couldn't finish.

Hope the team has matured enough and the new additions can push through the hump

Biggest problem against habs was depht... they was the best team with no depht... so when tavares get injured and muzzin out... leafs didn't had anybody to replace those player....

They replaced jt with galchenyuk...

Muzzin with dermott/sandin who was pretty trash defensivly...it was the difference in this serie...

This season if anyone of core 4 is injured, ror is there ...

If mccabe or brodie is injured... gio can step up with liljegren step in...

If rielly get injured, gustafsson can step in.

The actual tampa team look like leafs team against habs

If point, kucherov, stamkos, hedman, sergachev or cernak get injured or just not good enought... who will replace them?

That happened to me in 2019. I went on a cruise while the leafs played the broons. Leafs were up 3-2 when I left. No internet connection. But there was a tv. I remember watching the ticker at the bottom to see the scores. Reminded me of how I used to check the score 30 years.

It sucked, leafs lost, I was very upset ... on my vacation.

Jeannot out to start the series. So Tampa can start the injury excuses now.

It’s going to be an epic battle of Tampa fans citing injuries and some Leafs fans whining about officiating

If the difference between win or loss for Tampa is the availability of Tanner Jeannot then they shouldnt win anyway… And if they cry thats just sad. Thats like us making excuses if we lost like Lafferty or someone

Sorry if been asked but when is game 1?

We don’t know yet.

April 17th or 18th.

All signs pointing to Tuesday, April 18th.

The reason I say Tuesday is:
Chris Johnston tweeted he is hearing Tuesday
Hayes (a.k.a. Dave) says he heard from arena staff they are prepping for Tuesday
Amalie Arena is booked on the Friday and Sunday
That being said, nothing confirmed by the NHL yet.

Heading into the playoffs mediocre in xGF%, GF, Corsi, all the good stuff... with not enough transition to gritty, dominating physical team to account for it.

The optimism makes no sense to me. There are other versions of the team over the past 7 years I'd gladly choose over this one. 18/19 Leafs for example would stomp this current team in the playoffs based on what I'm seeing. Advanced stats line up with the eye test this time around.

It's going to be top 6 dominates or it doesn't. That sums up the Leafs chances.

They’ll play a back to back?
