Once again, would you then prefer James Reimer again? Or the corpse of Devan Dubnyk and whatever he has left? Or an unproven Antii Raanta? Because those are the best three goalies known to be available at the deadline.
On my phone so not much time here but:
In March on the PK,
Campbell/Hutch = over .900 on the PK
Andersen = .720
MLAS
Maple Leaf Anxiety Syndrome.
Until we win a round a lot of posters will have their butts firmly clenched.
Do you mind posting the metrics again in terms of each goalie for us on the PK? I know you posted it before but not sure where to look. Thanks.Power Play
8.25 expected goals for per 60 (#1)
9.80 goals for per 60 (#3)
Penalty Kill
5.47 expected goals against per 60 (#5)
.820 save percentage (#30)
8.22 goals against per 60 (#21)
with Campbell:
2.41 goals against per 60 (#1)
.941 save percentage (#1)
with Hutchinson:
7.26 goals against per 60 (#16)
.857 save percentage (#17)
with Andersen:
9.80 goals against per 60 (#29)
.786 save percentage (#31)
So Tavares on both units & Marner at net-front, this is odd...
I am 100% self-diagnosed with this syndrome. Medication (alcohol) does not provide long term relief ;-)
This should be a decent test for Campbell tonight, the other games were pretty tame
Do you mind me asking where you're pulling this data from?

Keefe about speaking on Andersen and his injury today:
"... It is something we have to manage, something we have to be responsible with it, as a staff and be smart with it. And he's got to be honest and tell us exactly how he's feeling so we can make appropriate decisions."
Ok...what? Is Keefe insinuating that Andersen has been injured for an extended period of time, but wanted to keep playing so he hid his injury? He's played like shit this year, and if it's because he's too proud to sit out because of his injury, he's an idiot. It's one thing to play injured and perform, but if you play injured and look like shit, it's on you. Full stop.
It's a contract year so I imagine he's playing because he wants to market himself for next year, but it's having an adverse effect and it's sewering the team.Well Andersen did say he’s been playing with it all year, so it sounds like he hasn’t been honest about the pain and he’s been trying to play through it

He always wants to play which to an extent is a good thing but he is just stupid about it. Case in point, in 2017-18 when the Leafs had a playoff spot locked up and he wanted to play rather than letting his body rest ahead of the playoffs. He put up an .896 SV% against Boston.
Yes. He definitely wants to put up great number so he can cash in big. I will say, his best approach now would be to get healthy, be encouraging to his team and other goalies, and, if called on, prove to everyone you are still an all-star.
That is strange also, why play hurt and struggle when you're looking for a new deal, he should have shut it down right away and go straight to rehad and come back healthy
Regardless of how his appointment went, they should put Andersen on the LTIR and get another goalie. It's clear they can't bank on him.odd... so after the last game he played, he told Keefe he has been struggling because he was hurt and didn't want to say anything? if true, I now understand why he was shutdown by the team until he "claims" 100% good health
This seems like the route they should take.Yes. He definitely wants to put up great number so he can cash in big. I will say, his best approach now would be to get healthy, be encouraging to his team and other goalies, and, if called on, prove to everyone you are still an all-star.
It's one thing to play through an injury if the team and staff know. It's another to hide it from your team. That is strange also, why play hurt and struggle when you're looking for a new deal, he should have shut it down right away and go straight to rehad and come back healthy
