They've got an elite goalie. Toronto has some elite forwards. At some point your guys have to just be better than their guy... I think far too many people jump to excuse making everytime a goalie plays excellent against Toronto.

Matthews deferring to Muzzin on a line rush is not a good sign. Especially when he was in the high slot.

When they stop generating chances and looking lethal seems like a good place to start. Or when they stop being some of the best goal scorers in the league and our team is not top 3 in both GF and xGF.

It's not like this is consistent thing, and it is not like these guys are making easy saves. They are making more high quality saves in one game than Andersen has made in multiple.

Andersen's issues are consistent. Our forward's issues are not. That's when we will start blaming the forward core.

I disagree. Our 4 forwards (who take up half the cap) being useless last playoffs/summer was blamed on "ran into a hot goalie". The excuse is just becoming too frequent when the going gets tough.
