I agree as well. I think in the long run Sandin will be the better player but right now Lily should have gotten his shot. They must see something in Lily that they don't like. That game for me, was all about Hyman, our heart and soul guy, and how Muzzin, and his mates on the bench didn't jump over the boards and pummel the guy.

Imagine this scenario.

One of the taxi squad guys, on the bench, jumps over, and goes waldo on Edler, you know fans, you know viral social media, that guy COULD HAVE been an overnight star.

NOPE. Well that taxi squad guy could keep quiet, tell no one and do it tonight.

It would still go viral. Everywhere.

Where is WENDEL when you need him. SHAKING HANDS for an income. He should be dressed tonight.

Tie Domi, never really liked him all that much. But do you think he would let HYMAN, lie on the ice, without going right at the guy who created the chaos. Gotta give Tie credit. Anyone did anything to Sundin, was punished and hard.

Show the brand, the team something Keefe, dress Sabourin.

The message should be not to win it for the hyper-critical, fair-weather fans that plague this team, but to rub it in their faces.

A couple of things: would Tie Domi jump off the bench to confront Edler? Nobody had a chance to go at him during the game because he was ejected after. Also, if someone jumped over the boards to pummel this guy right at the moment, they would be out 10 games and several hundred thousands of dollars.

Edler got suspended for 2 games so he is not playing tonight. So Sabourin or whoever won't have a chance to go after him tonight.

Hence, the reason Keefe said he might not be in the lineup today. It probably depended on the status of Mikheyev.

Notice how Max Domi has been scratched two straight games by Torts. I'm not the biggest fan of his overall approach, however, the bottom line is, Domi was held accountable for disrespecting his team by being foolish more than once. The coach lays down the law. The two teams are in very different situations of course.

Similar to Kadri who I feel had to be moved after back-to-back playoff suspensions, a player only has a certain amount of leash. That leash is even shorter when your team hasn't won anything.

Hopefully Nylander understands these lessons.

So i get no edler to watch getting crushed, I have to listen to Beavis AND butt, loving up the Canucks.
