Hard to imagine Carlyle keeping his job at this pace. There's no excuse for that type of domination and it isn't effort or talent level. A good portion of those shots are due to the Leafs collapsing and giving up point shots, which is coming from the bench.
Worth noting: the Ducks were a brutal possession team in his last season there, and now they're one of the best.
Mind you, I still think we could use a roster shake-up even with a new coach. As bad as Phaneuf has looked lately, he was pretty good over the first half of the season. When our d-corps behind him and Gunnarsson consists of two young, mistake-prone PMDs, a lead-footed, glorified Kurtis Foster, a guy trying to find his footing after not playing in the NHL for three years and Tim Gleason.... it's tough to be all that surprised with how gassed Phaneuf has looked of late.
