WTF Treliving couldn't even get Pettersson for him!?
Fire his ass turkey dump style!
I was eyeing Quinn Hughes...huge fail on Tre's part...

Considering that Lafferty didn't even crack the playoffs lineup last year as Keefe would rather go 11/7. Goes to show what Keefe thinks of Lafferty. This is the first bad move Tre has made imo. Really good depth guy for playoffs. No chance Minten provides value come playoff time but Lafferty definitely could have. I would honestly rather have Lafferty than Jarnkrok come playoff time. Laffertys speed and physicality are really good assets and he actually has a bit of skill as well. I really dont get the move.
Sam has chucked 'em a few times over his career and once during his time here, compared to a lot of the bottom 6 talent we've had over the years he may as well have been Colton Orr. However he wasn't as physical as I'd have liked otherwise. He was closer to Blackwell than Acciari in terms of impact.
We all know Garland is the guy that all these Tre's sucks... want from the Nucks, as he is under 6'feet, skill with speed. lol.I was eyeing Quinn Hughes...huge fail on Tre's part...![]()
Only ZAR and Acciardi had a higher hits per 60 in the 2022-23 playoffs for Leafs forwards. Why do I keep reading Lafferty is physical? He played 28 games here including playoffs and he never was physical in any noticeable way.
He definitely played with some jam, I'm not sure why everyone seems to be forgetting how he was legitimately one of our best players against Florida. Him and Kampf outperformed most of the big guns especially at 5v5.Why do I keep reading Lafferty is physical? I don't consider lightly bumping into a guy after he has already moved the puck hits, but for some reason the league does.
He was one of the few forwards who didn't frustrate the hell out of me during that Florida series. He definitely played with some jam, I'm not sure why everyone seems to be forgetting how he was legitimately one of our best players against Florida. Reaves will play a role. Just like he has done for the past 12+ seasons. But - but ... Ryan Reaves is loud and you know.. a locker room guy and all that.![]()
He’s not a bad player at all. I think you will like him. Solid guy for 4th line. Nice wheels and some grit. Fair defensive acumen. How has he played for you guys?
Solid size, top 15% of the league speed, but just meh production. How has he played for you guys?
He’s ideally a fast, defensively responsible 4th liner who can fill in on a 3rd line. Very average player, but has versatility to play anywhere in a bottom 6.How has he played for you guys?
Did they even watch the playoffs? He was the definition of useless and insignificant.Where has this myth of Lafferty being physical sprouted from? I watched him with my own eyes and that shit is a lie.
Lmao, that's a pretty solid trade. So in the end it was:
McCabe at 50% + 3 x 5th round picks
For
1st, 2nd + Gogolev + Anderson
Meh. Dubas gonna Dubas.
Reaves will play a role. Just like he has done for the past 12+ seasons.
Pretty sure Treliving knows a thing or two about team building and this team was way too soft.
Thankyou Dubas.
Do you know how many 20 goal scorers we've moved out in the last 5 years?Trading a 20 goal scorer is generally a bad idea
Might want to count the 2025 picks before you congratulate someone.Thankyou Dubas.
With all due respect, wouldn't the return for him be a lot greater than a 5th round pick?He definitely played with some jam, I'm not sure why everyone seems to be forgetting how he was legitimately one of our best players against Florida. Him and Kampf outperformed most of the big guns especially at 5v5.
