Drunken analysis again?
At 8:09 last night, I scraped this...and it was 3 nothing
Is it not possible that the leafs best defensive forward decided to shift his game and attempt to shut down Tampas best scorers?
The game winning goal was already on the books at that point

Tampa's 2nd line was allegedly that bad?

Game 3 feels like a huge game for the Leafs and if they win, I think we will take alot of the belief away from them especially with a banged up blueline.
Bingo.

I just posted the exact same thing. Game 3 has got to be our best game of the season IMO. Every single guy on the roster needs to be at their best. Treat it like it's the last game of your career and leave nothing to chance.

I genuinely believe TB is going to bring their absolute best in game-3. If we can match or even better that intensity and come away with a W, we can walk away from that game knowing we have them.

Game 3 is a HUGE opportunity for us to land a major shot across their bow. Lets not miss

You are looking at points my friend and I should probably reword that statement in bold yes he made 1 play which helped team for sure and I agree 1st one is most important .. but I am looking at who tilts ice in our favour every shift over a game .. I can't remember 1 shift where he did not tilt da ice .. that is what a #1 D does he tilts da ice in favour of his team almost every shift he plays .. i counted 10 plays where he opened up Tampa and took them out of their system 3 of which directly related to goals for .. and he did it using SPEED .. i also thought Jankrok was very good too and again he opened up Tampa with SPEED .. SPEED creates and kills.. and everyone else grinded well which is imperative too in playoff hockey as you ain't gonna score 7 a game
He was duh best player on duh ice and constantly tilted duh ice in our favour. To say other wise is well...duh.

Hahaaaa!!! That GIF of Maroon and the fan is hilarious. Imagine getting rattled because you’re getting chirped by fans… this guy is a clown. Dude you got your ass kicked stfu and take your 2 min penalty with some professionalism.

by the way no more of this “we need to come out better prepared” these guys should know Tampa are going to come out flying tomorrow. Expect it, match it, and go out and win instead of trying not to lose

Haven't actually seen the Maroon stick thing posted yet so here it is. And people are saying that yellow sweater dude never climbed the glass and no one dumped a beer. Haven't found any video of those two things happening.

I wish we were at a point where Perry was being ignored. The attention will only favour him going forward

The ZAR goal and Kampf/AR/Lafferty celebration after their goal was a big moment. They knew they needed to be better after the first game, especially for ZAR after his giveaway kicked off the game 1 disaster.

Every line really came to play last night.

No I am not looking at points. All I said was that that first goal was super important, that was all Marner and that's why it's insane to say he had no impact on the game.

What's the stick thing we're seeing?? Don't see anything there.

1:50 he reaches over the glass with intent to poke a fan with his stick but Perry grabs his stick and pulls it back.
Thanks don't see it....the video goes immediately to Cooper

He is basically challenging Matthews, Tavares and O'Rielly. He usually deflects saying his team didn't play up to par. But now he challenged our best players, saying his players are better.

That's almost like Peg bragging that there's nothing better than beating leafs. Players should always bring it, but sometime a challenge like that can push them to want to prove a point even more.
He's not that stupid.
Cooper is very careful and calculating about what he says to the press. I don't know exactly why he said what he did, but there was a reason he did.

I disagree about him being a liability. That's recency bias. I think we forget how solid he is around the net and the way he can be a boost in terms of being a factor physically and as a pest.

We'll see in a few games. I won't worry about it until then. A lot can change game to game. But if the Leafs look this good by the time Game 5 rolls around... maybe. We all know Tampa Bay won't roll over though.

In general, I'd agree that we need a shit disturber who is a pest and get under opposition players' skin; but the way Bunting is reffed I think it will be a liability. I don't want us killing penalties because bunting got called for softest of crap because ref don't like or Bunting got jumped/tripped/crosschecked down with a man behind and refs don't call leading to an odd man rush for opposition for a quality chance.

I don't think its recency bias. The way Bunting has been officiated by the refs has been an issue througout the regular season because he cannot keep his yap shut and mouth off to the refs.

IMO thats a problem to the team.

Cooper is a calculated tactical genius and everything he says and does is the perfect thing to either motivate his team in the perfect way or disrupt the opponent.
Even when it looks like Cooper is completely rattled, about to cry and making silly comments to the media, and his team looks trash, he's really just secretly playing 4D chess.
How could anyone dare question his genius. Now let's get back to discussing what a fool Keefe is, and criticizing every single thing he says and does!
:sarcasm:

Amazing win, fantastic response to the first game. Reilly flipped the switch just like he did last playoff, Marner Tavares and Nylander sniping all over, hopefully Matthews can join the fun soon.
OReilly is a gem, we gotta do everything including getting rid of Murray’s contract in order to keep him. Him and Acciari are perfect partners to show Knies how to play the game the right way. Knies is gonna have Tavares and Matthews campaigning to get him in their lines if he keeps it up.
The 4th line bounced back in a big way, same with Ilya. Even Holl wasn’t trash!

Is this hope I’m feeling once again? I’m scared to have hope with this team but they can be so damn good when they put it all together

That’s the trick they play on us … they can give us hope, no matter what they give us a reason to hope.

And that’s when …. It happens

Tucker from that era would be suspended every series in the modern NHL IMO. Remember that great hit against Kapanen? Today, if it wasnt called on the ice, you would have every analyst instantly dissecting it to find something wrong (left his feet just before contact, high hit that caught a ton of head, injury on the play, blah blah), put extreme media pressure on the league (cause Toronto) and then he would have been out for the rest of the series. How about Tucker blowing out Peca's knee in the playoffs with a super late hit intent to injure? Hell, remember Tucker himself getting hit on the numbers, separating his shoulder and it leading to a game winning goal by Aflie?

The game has changed so much since then.

The rest of the series on the Tucker Kapanen hit was 30 seconds. It was in OT and Roenick scored the Series ending goal on the same shift.

Ironically that was the last time the Leafs were in Round 2.

If Keefe can't beat this version of the Tampa Lightning, he should be criticized. Said it before the playoffs, Tampa is an appetizer, and the Bruins are the real test unless Florida sleighs them first.

Also preferred Tampa than Rangers if playoffs were 1 vs 8.

I think that's pretty obvious. He knows exactly what he's doing and you can't deny his success.
