Don't forget the bruised up maybe broken handGood thing we didn't trade him and an entire draft class for Tanner Jeannot's 12.15 xGF%, 1 hit and 0 shots on goal
Rielly with a big game .. continues to be one of the Leafs' better playoff players.
Thought they were booing the refsI want to mention all the fans who boooooed the Leafs off the ice after game 1.
IT WORKED!
Not this year besides the PP. he just stands on the right wall all game he looos out of shape toAre we watching the same game? Kucherov is a master at losing coverage and finding soft spots all over the ice. I hate playing him lol
Great effort by everyone.
Holl had one bad moment, but was generally okay
The refs blew one penalty instead 4-5, that's a victory
Hedman is a huge gamechanger to this series, if he doesn't return I could see this being done fairly quickly. Tampa's defense is pretty terrible without him.
Thank you for saying what I have wanted to say for a long time. The drop-off in goal potential between the second and third lines cannot be so steep the other team only has to think about the Big 4 on two lines...and forget the rest. The third line has to be threatening, and it has to score. I hate the terms "top 6" and "bottom 6". Its misleading. You want a gradient from 1 to 4, not a cliff after 2. And the phrase "bottom 6" makes it seem it is ok if the third line is almost equal to the fourth line, It is not ok.If Knies continues to play like he did last night, it allows us to play a legitimate offensive talent on the 3rd line with ROR and personally I think three well balanced lines capable of providing offense is a better setup than stacking your top 2 lines and praying the bottom 6 can do something. That sequence where the puck was dumped in and Knies won a footrace to the puck, got control of the puck along the boards and fed ROR with a quick pass right in the slot was very impressive from a skilled player.
The broadcast crew must have spoken glowingly of the Bolts' Raddyish 2 or 3 times. He's a 27 year old journeyman. You're right, they don't understand their audience.Gord Miller is better but I'd rather have Bonsie on the TSN games too.
It's because sportsnet thinks they have to be unbiased so they get national crews and often overcompensate by talking about opposing teams even though no one watching CBC gives a shit about the Lightning. Maybe if it was the Canadiens I could understand it
Shame he didn’t figure it out earlier, but let’s hope they make this post season one to rememberThe team is now built to compete in the playoff environment.
Dubas’ very early blueprint was obviously ridiculous, and many of us told you he’d have to change his naive vision, big time. And, to his credit, at least he did learn.
Well to be fair, he has been pretty impressive, for someone I’ve never really heard of before. Got to fill air time somehow I guessThe broadcast crew must have spoken glowingly of the Bolts' Raddyish 2 or 3 times. He's a 27 year old journeyman. You're right, they don't understand their audience.
He got pissy at the first question and then they asked if the Leafs moving ROR to the third line created issues for them and he got mad and said he would take Point Cirrelli and Paul over anyone and stormed off.
Their audience, especially playoffs, is people cheering against the LeafsThe broadcast crew must have spoken glowingly of the Bolts' Raddyish 2 or 3 times. He's a 27 year old journeyman. You're right, they don't understand their audience.
Bravo !A rising tide lifts all boats. The win belongs to the whole team. It is the cumulative of dozens of individual battles.
I liked that a player like Marner opens the game with a body check. Got his body primed to play.
The lesson is that this whole team needs to open every game hitting everything to start. It flips the compete switch on.
Settle the game down later to where the officials allow it to be played. This is the formula of a winner. Skill comes when the heart is pumping. Hope this game isn't an anomaly
Its funny how all year we read about Buntings reputation being earned, yet every playoff we face someone with a decades worth of reptuation the Officials seem to bite on over and overFor the record....Corey Perry is the biggest sideshow I've ever seen...even back to his London Knights days.......punch and run with the officials around, snap his head back so hard when he is touched it's amazing he hasn't given himself whiplash. Picks a fight with a non-fighter only in a scrum. Dives. Was even worse in junior.
Even Kucherov - dirty plays with his stick after the whistle/behind the play.......dirty trip on Brodie is game 1. Would love to see someone catch him with his head down.
Oh....and great bounce back game by the guys!!!!! Really liking Knies -we've got a good one with this kid.
I wonder if we'll see a top goalie chart posted today. I got the impression it would be game by game updatesSammy is winning the dual so far (has allowed less goals against)
