That's Vancouver's mantra all year. Come out flying, grab a 2 goal lead then evaporate.

I fail to see how you think any team comes out and wins a full 60 vs any team. It simply doesn't happen.

I am not saying this Leafs team doesn't have faults but this imaginary idea that teams play a full 60, or can flat out dominate for a full game is nonsense.

Every season is the same.

10 games you look like world beaters, 10 gamea you look awful,, the rest is pretty even.

Very good second.
Very surprised to see that kind of execution in the third. Welcome it with open arms.

Thought Matthews looked pretty good. Marner didn't. Third, or is it fourth, line continues to impress. Kampf had a really really good game. And Benny off the bench with some physicality and an unexpected snipe! Kallgren very solid, and didn't give up the softie tonight, nice bounce back by him.

Nice last two periods to take into a 'revenge' game vs the Pens on Tuesday.

I hear you, the Leafs could win 6-1 and the Whiners of LeaFland wouldn't be able to stop batching about the Giraffes giveaway in the 1st, why Holl is playing 20mins, Marner of course and JT and his incredible suckage.
 
This team won't make it easy on themselves. Still a win is a win. A comeback is probably more important than a dominating win considering the phyche of this group.

Yeah, the posts complaining are weird.

Leafs completely controlled the play from the 2nd period onwards. It was encouraging to see them continuing to pressure in the third, instead of trying to "protect the lead." Also, was nice to see them limit the Canucks' rush chances.

The Leafs have a very poor shooting % right now. It won't last. They'll start scoring goals in bunches eventually.

They can take that shoddy low rent DS to one of the other 5000 whiny threads.

only two teams in east with less goals per game are Columbus and Philly.
Our Goalies and D are major questions marks, but its the vaunted offence that has been the hottest of garbages this year, collectively they need to wake up or ship out.
 
Flawed team, no doubt. But I was proud of the way they came back and got a win for Börje. It’ll be a night that he will never forget.
