FFS, Vancouver isnt a horrible team that can't keep it close. You have to work hard to get the 2 points. I've never seen a fanbase who can come across as so miserable after a win. It defies description.

Not saying I am not happy for the win. But lets face it. This is not just another regular season HNIC game. This is a game to pay tribute a true legend.
This is a MUST WIN game, if you are not fire up to play this game, I don't have anything to say.
They cannot start this type of game this flat and toothless.
Yes they won at the end, but thats more to do with the opponents being bad than our boys being great.

I agree with you. I’m mostly happy they won it for Borje.

If you take that out of the equation, that was not an encouraging win. The Canucks are a total train wreck and it still took us a period to wake up.

Old habits die hard. Or in our case, never die at all.

I suspected Engvall was going to score the way he came out of the gates, I'm glad he was rewarded. If he played that way every night he'd be a keeper.

I'm relieved that took one of two with Salming in the building. For him to fly here with his health battle says a great deal about how much the memories here and the city mean to him. Praying for a miracle.

Hockey just doesn't seem so important, but, he is cherished here since the day he first put on the Leaf uniform.

I'm glad they were able to salvage one win on Borje's weekend.

Feels like this team is treading water at the moment. Have only scored more than 3 goals twice all season. They've managed to escape oblivion a couple of times but also seem unable to get traction and build on positive mini streaks.

He has a point. he touches the puck a lot. He is still mostly useless regardless to his points. He doesn't influence the game in a positive way. Most of his effort gets erased when he gives away the puck.

I think we probably lose this game if the Canucks are not so awful (spotting a team a two-goal lead is not a recipe for success).

But good effort to come back nonetheless. Very happy that Borje got to see this team win one.

To be fair, spotting the Canucks a 2 goal lead DOES seem to be a recipe for success this year.
