That was NOT a good game from the Leafs. A quick show of life and a solid defensive effort at the end, along with a strong performance from Freddy is what saved our hide here.

Def didn't deserve to win, entire team looked off, but when you have special talent like Matthews, Marner, etc you can pull things out of thin air. Great game by Freddie.

It was mostly ugly. But the #Leafs beat the Canucks, 3-1, to make it a three-game series sweep.

We played at about 50% output and needed Andersen to come up big but once the boys decided to turn it on they put the dagger in

I wish we could consistently play complete 60 minute games, but I love that we have the talent to win games playing only 10 minutes.

People need to stop saying this... teams rarely have a "complete 60 minutes" as you're referring to.

Teams just don't dominate for 60 minutes very often.. Leafs are 10-2-1 and that 5-1 win the other night was the only "complete 60" this season.

Show me a team that consistently does it and I'll believe you but its not how hockey works. Energy and momentum swing all game. The great teams don't just dominate 60 minutes they just know how to weather the storm. That's the difference.


Anyway,

never trailing all night with your C game, Andersen playing great again seems to have settled down the edge walkers on this board.

Sandin getting a point was nice, wish it was 3-1 earlier so he could have got a bit more ice.

When did this team learn to protect a lead? The last two minutes the wall they built between the perimeter and the net was impressive. Yes, Van moved the puck around the outside, but couldn't penetrate. Leafs holding their position, fronting three players to the puck while having the back side covered, disciplined, effective, who the f*ck are these guys? I'll take more of that structure, please.
