I feel bad watching a team like the 'Nucks, they look like a defeated team in warm ups. Leaf fans know that gutless, talentless, suck all too well. You're almost expecting something bad to happen, that breaks your back, such a fragile team at the moment. A fart in the wind would send them cowering into the corners of the rink. I can't recall playing a team with so little fight, so little give a damn. They remind me a lot of the Salute-gate Leafs team a few years ago, gutless, selfish, scared, disinterested, angry. Is this years draft any good? That might be one small consolation, the 'Nucks get to pick first over all and get them a franchise player?

I have no sympathy for them. They laughed at us for a decade when we had similar teams. They are classless af out west lol
Great to see other teams go through that shit for once. Embrace it :cool:

Freddy best game of year ... super 10 beller on that 2 on 1 slide over pad save WOW WOW WOW ... my guess is team knew Canucks are so bad that we could coast for 2 periods and still win easy ...

I don't think I have ever seen a defense group as bad as Canucks ... you could literally take Canes AHL defense corps in its entirety and replace every Canucks defender and Canucks would see a huge improvement ... and Benning was a defenseman from Leafs OMG we have sucked at defense for so so long ... it is really really sad to see ... they have a PP specialist and that's it OMG

jimmy vesey has 2 golas and 3 points in 12 games and hasnt been a liability.

I repeat it’s Jimmy Vesey who has scored a scored a couple of greasy goals that I could have potted.

He was also -10 in shots last night. Against Vancouver. He is a black hole, he brings nothing and does nothing.

I am not married to Petan, just giving an example of someone who would be better. However, why was he taken out? If we holding guys accountable - who is doing it to Vesey???

Anything is better than Vesey. Total line killer.

we were outshot 27 - 7 through 2 periods. im pretty sure most players were - in shots, picking a game where the whole team played pretty bad and singling out a single player makes no sense, there were multiple players who didnt pull their weight, including a few players making substantially more than vesey.

i couldnt care less about vesey, hes a replaceable part, but people love to take tiny samples of players and either bury them or elevate them to legend status, theres no evidence based off of his whole tenure with the leafs that nic petan will have anymore impact than vesey.

2 games into preseason in leafs uniform people wanted tyler ennis to be a 1st line player, all due to one 2 goal game against the sens farm team.

Ive watched every second of the year. Vesey sucks. Get him in the press box. The numbers say it and the eyes say the same thing.

Vesey isn't going to get much fanfare, but he's been more than adequate for the role he's been given this far. An energy guy that's out there to ensure that the other team doesn't swing momentum that might put up 20-25 points under regular circumstances. Thing is, the leafs don't need vesey to put up points to win. I'm not going to pump his tires as he is simply a low cost depth guy, but as such- he is doing pretty much exactly what we should have expected of him; so being disappointed in him doing his job seems odd to me.
