IMO having both Lehtonen and Sandin puts more on the rest. You can do it with Dermot and one of the two from time to time.

Also, down a few regular forwards in the lineup already, it might not be the best time to do so.

Whooooooa whoooooooa he may well be , and I think he’s incredible and that he’s playing brilliantly on both sides of the ice and all over , a total package indeed , but whoooooa let’s not devalue some of the greats yet , not that you are btw , let’s continue to give some of our greats some love , at least for now , like Teeder captain and 5 cups , Keon , Sittler etc , but there’s no question that he rounding out to be the greatest Leaf scorer , that looks inevitable
He will have a place on the Bench out side possibly with Marner

I think Vesey should be tried out in Simmonds' spot on the PP. He has had some success in that role in the past, and I think it could help get going offensively just like it did for Simmonds. He is doing the little things right, and is solid in his own end, but he (like the rest of the 3rd line) just needs that monkey off of his back.

I'd agree on this assessment of Vesey. We need more from him, and he's been a black hole offensively so far, but he's done a number of other things well on the ice.

Just went over the GDT. Wow people relax. Isn't a team who got embarassed allowed to play a good game. Canucks played well and we responded late, but came through. No team how good plays well for 60 minutes every game. They all have bad stints.

Just went over the GDT. Wow people relax. Isn't a team who got embarassed allowed to play a good game. Canucks played well and we responded late, but came through. No team how good plays well for 60 minutes every game. They all have bad stints.

2 subpar periods and all of a sudden they should be embarrassed and ashamed etc etc. its quite something to read to be honest..not like we are on a 8 game win streak or anything lol

do me a favour and watch him closely if he gets back in for a stretch of games. I did it last year. You may be surprised how good he really is at keeping possession while making smart play after smart play. Not for a second suggesting top 9 forward but he can play in this league while giving the fourth line a boost. Don’t give me stats. Just watch the next few games with an open mind. See if he changes your mind.

Although I’ve never been a big fan of Petan , I think he’s a also ran ....stupid attempt at comedy
Seriously though , I really haven’t been his biggest supporter, but I’ve really liked his greasy attitude and play making in the two games this year
Good for him , I did notice him taking the body and finishing checks all over the ice
