Quillan is now listed at six-feet, 201 pounds. He’s a left-shot forward who was deployed in all situations at the college level and produced 17 goals and 29 assists for 46 points in 39 games, including five goals on the power play and three game-winning goals. He won 56 per cent of his face-offs and finished the season a plus-17.

^ Success rate of 23-24 year old college signings are awful. Below was from Bukala in December. I like it.

Some players are programmed to play the game a certain way. Quillan is one of those players.

The six-foot, 201-pound, left-shot forward is used in all situations at Quinnipiac, and his relentless compete is evident on a nightly basis. He’s producing offence (nine goals, 12 assists), but it’s his three-zone detail and willingness to battle in the hard areas of the ice that stand out for me.

Quillan plays the game quick and he has excellent hand-eye coordination. When he sets up shop in the crease area, he has the ability to tip pucks from range, or corral rebounds and deposit pucks in the back of net.

Quillan has skated in 92 college games, when he is an incredible plus-53.

Jimmy Murphy writes for a shitty Boston blog. From reading that you might expect him to be a teenager but he's actuallyin his 50s. He used to have an account on HFBoards but basically got bullied off of the platform because he kept posting things as if he was an 'inside source' but was never actually correct.

Think of a much worse Pagnotta.

I dind't imply that he was. My point was that Marlies needs players too.
Kind of like Steeves who's contributing well for Marlies. If he becomes an NHLer, great. If he doesn't, he can fulfil other roles

Best part about this is he seems to have the tools to be a very effective 3-4C in the NHL which is key because in the future I'd much rather us keep our early picks unless we are trading for a legit top 6 forward or top 4 d man. It's insane that since Lou and Dubas ran this team we have yet to draft an effective bottom 6 checking defensive/PK C.

I believe he'll be in the Marlies line-up tonight. Should be interesting to see how he does through the end of the season / playoffs. Now get Webber signed when his season is up.

What did you do with McCabe and Liljegren?

No way you move McCabe to keep Edmundson and Boosh instead of Liljegren is a step backwards.
