Keefe shouldn’t have been so impatient with Bertuzzi on the first line. Not saying his play has deserved that spot but that line with him and M&M had good numbers. M&M with Jarnkrok have looked even worse than with Bertuzzi. Maybe the chemistry would’ve finally presented itself had we waited a bit longer.

The problem with both Bertuzzi and Domi are that they are both zero IQ hockey players. They literally look like they have no clue what they’re supposed to be doing out there. Maybe it’s coaching but who knows, they look utterly lost.

Domi especially looks like he’s just doing an impression of what a high IQ player looks like without actually understanding what he’s doing. 2-3 times a game he makes a centering pass or tries a no look backhand to hit the trailer but there’s never anyone actually there.

Bertuzzi was getting to the net and creating lots of space for those two.

I really wonder why Leaf mgmt had zero desire to bring him back. Sounded like he was close with Mathews and Marner. I know popular opinion is he was a distraction on the ice and with refs...but so are a lot of rat players including Marchand and M Tchuk. If anything we haven't had enough of those guys since the Tucker years. I have to wonder if it was something off ice they really didn't like. Doesn't add up to me.
The refs and DOPS had targeted him. There's no coming back from that in a market like Toronto.

This for me. Keep running them back out there, they're too good of players not to figure it out.

On the one hand the Reaves contract is disgusting, on the other hand if Brad didn’t rush to sign Reaves as the top priority for the team he’d probably have enough money to have gotten Bertuzzi on the 6+ longterm deal he wanted.

Another good reason to like the Reaves contract... Bertuzzi is so overrate it comical, he is a horrible player, his result on the ice is almost always negative. He cant skate, his nick name should be chopper for the way he skates, he cant shoot, cant pass, he cant stay out of PIM box, he is one man cycle ending machine.,, have a problem pressuring your opponent too much, give the puck to Bert he will give the puck away faster than you can say THANK GOD ITS ONLY ONE YEAR!!!, he cant win 50/50 board battles...

Tre is starting to look like a really shitty GM when you consider his last year as Calgary's GM and the first year as a Leafs GM, signed Keefe to an extension, Hubredeau was a horrid signing, Klingberg was a horrid signing, Bertuzzi is a horrid signing, Domi is a bad signing, let Gaudreau walk for nothing, do we really want this guy responsible to sign Nylander? He's starting to look a lot like Fletchers son... shitty signings, poor roster management and crap teams... Excluding the Matthews deal which anyone would do can anyone name one move he made as a Leafs GM that gets 3 out of 5 stars or better? Nope ...

Bertuzzi was getting to the net and creating lots of space for those two.

For 5,5 mil he better be doing a hell of a lot more than creating space

Domi is a passer he needs to have more than a child on his wing that might have a clue where to be. Domi has not scored since May, no one should be surprised he is a pass first player.

Not sure he is a fit with this team. How many games is enough to really confirm or deny that? We are 9 in and I haven't seen anything that will help this team now or in the playoffs.

Did he play? Another useless UFA signing

Klingberg trash
Domi trash
Reaves worse then trash
Bert trash
Resigning Kampf trash

Why is Bertuzzi laughing on the bench after the Marchand dirty hit? It appears Bertuzzi feels like a Bruin, no one on the Leafs bench should have been laughing.
I bet even a piece of shit like Marchand was disgusted by the worm laughing after what happened.

Brav-f***ing-o Steve I couldn't say it better... you got a coward of a coach who does not have the stones to hold his players accountable and this is the result Tyler "Soon playing in Europe" Bertuzzi is laughing at Marchand while his teammate is lying on the ice injured. You think this shit happens with coach Q on the bench? Torts? Keenan? Burns? Not a f-ing chance .. a day later and I'm still steamed about the whole thing, more about our response than the action itself TBH. If you are not playing to win the cup why are you there? Money?

Bertuzzi came here to get paid long term not to be a leaf for life. Him along with majority of guys who come here think it's the team is a joke of pure divas and soft teddy bears, starting from ownership to the coaches etc.

Has anyone considered that maybe Bertuzzi was rolling his eyes and some stupid crap that Marchand was probably saying? Isn't that a more likely explanation than him laughing at one of his teammates being stretchered off the ice? It's like you guys are just trying to find reasons to dislike a player. This guy will be find and will end producing a good amount of goals for this team. Benching him after 9 games is ridiculously impatient coaching.

Seriously?
It’s okay to call a piece of shit a piece of shit even if it wears a leafs sweater.

feeble f’ing excuses.

So you really think he was laughing at his injured teammate? I think it's a lot more likely that he knows Marchand's trash talk first hand and thinks he's all talk, and I think that is what he was rolling his eyes and smirking at.

:dunce:

I think he was laughing because he doesn’t g.a.f what his buddy did to his team mate. You think any clowning from Marchand in that moment was worthy of laughter from Bertuzzi?
Give your head a shake.

I have less of a problem for what Bertuzzi did or didn't do against the Bruins, speculating if he said or didn't say something to someone on the ice.....rather is more his production.

The guy is in the prime of his career. You are paying him $5.5m He has a total of 3 points in 10 games and that is with him getting some duty on the PP too. With some time on the PP and the teammates he has skated with, I would almost expect more production by accident.
