Confirmed with Link: Leafs sign D Mark Giordano to extension (2 years, $800k AAV)

They used Rielly a fair bit on RD this playoff

I imagine Lyubushkin can play a bigger role - while earning a better salary - on a lesser team. Much will depend upon what he's ultimately looking for in a team. I just can't easily see management giving up on Sandin for much older options in Giordano and Muzzin. Your concerns do have merit though.

Can't rule out this option either. My concern there might be that while the playoffs are the grandest stage, the regular season is a much longer stage. Not sure how comfortable the coaching staff might be with putting the team's top defenceman on his offhand side for the season?

I watch A LOT of games because I live din the west I get to watch games you are probably asleep for because your late game is on at around 8 PM here, late games don't exist here.

Justin is the dumbest D man in the league, I'd rather put an actual rock in his spot

Holl is not worth a late 1st. LOL. Plus he's only got 1 year left.

We'd give him away to clear the salary.
 
I cannot complain about this deal,even if it goes bad he can easily be demoted and cap recovered.

Dubas did well but his track record says differently so be afraid,be very afraid of what signings are coming.

it takes a long time for me to get to the level of distain I have for Holl as a player

this has been 3 years in the making this didn't happen over night
