Just noticed that Keefe is undefeated in 2024
It seemed like Leafs always started playing great after losing to the Canes. The boys need to play the Canes two games before the end of the regular season.

A convincing win to help ease worried minds. A loss last night would have put them under .500. Why is it every time I think Keefe is gonna get fired they win?
For Keefe's sake he better hope they keep winning too.
An 18-17 record is nothing of which to be proud. With a record like that they might squeak into the playoffs. Then get eliminated in the first round again.
The very definition of a mediocre team.
A blowout win is always the best way to turn momentum around. Hopefully this game marks the end of that skid they were in. Then again they probably shouldn't have put themselves into a situation where they needed a big win like this anyway.
You won't need a shower if you don't roll in the muck to begin with.

Yeah, they only have a 2 point lead over Tampa Bay, but they also have 4 games in hand. They're not as close to falling out as the standings suggest.
At his age Gio would like that. His role should be part time
A lot of our current standing is on Samsonov we’d be dominating teams only to have .885 goaltending and lose in overtime. This team could have easily been winning the division if it wasn’t for him allowing some bad goals.
I don’t think the team is as bad as people are trying to make it seem. We def need to focus on our defensive structure.

True and hopefully they go on a streak to put some cushion between us and wild cards.
All cool and calm so far, but our margin for error gets thinner. Woll was stealing a job, fighting from an underdog position, and now needs to be the man etc. A lot riding on many variables.

They have games in hand so it’s not as dire as it appears. Looks like they’ll battle for 2nd spot in the Atlantic.
Making the playoffs is the goal, but the way the schedule is done and points are awarded it puts them in a tougher spot to fix the team. We all they need several pieces, but when they’re always in a playoff spot it’s hard to sell the assets needed to fix the holes.

Not sure I get the trepidation about starting Hildeby in this back-to-back. He's a 22-year-old overager and the assignment is a temporary backup gig as our #4 against a bottom feeder in the other conference on the road. Tell him to go out and have fun with it. Is the risk really that great that this could ruin him?

Personally I’d like to see Domi in the top six along slide Matthews and Marner
Great games but Benoit should be careful when and where he picks his fights, did not need it there.... lost momentum. Could have easily went 2-1 and then who knows what happens.
