What a great pickup

Our defense looks just fine. The issue has always been our forwards commitment to playing at both ends of the ice and winning the board battles - which they did tonight. Benoit has added a nice element back there that we don't have in our system. He has given this team an identity that has been missing since Kadri was traded away.

I think you might get an extra penalty for that now...

Nope, you get a penalty for removing your own helmet before the fight - 2 mins unsportsmanlike, ironic since IMO it’s very sportsmanlike. Ripping off your opponent’s helmet mid-fight is fine, the only reason guys don’t do it more often is it’s hard to do. Fights are fast and chaotic and there’s often no opportunity to remove your opponent’s bucket, often you need to be throwing constantly, even if it means f***ing up your hand on your opponent’s helmet/visor.
