Our series the past month:

Calgary : Leafs can't score vs backup.
Edmonton: Leafs offense looks ok.
Vancouver: Leafs can't score vs backup.
Winnipeg: Leafs can't score, 1 vs back.
Ottawa: Leafs can't score vs backup.

This vaunted Dubas/Keefe offense totally won't get completely shut down come playoff time.

So as long as we don't play a backup in the playoffs, we should be fine.

Everyone knew Tavares skating was not going to age well. Our window with him is 2-3 years max after that his contract will likely become one of the worst in the league.

I don't think that's true at all. His final year he's 33/34, and we all expected THAT Tavares to play the way he currently is. But for it start at 30? We have players ELEVEN years older than him contributing.

I’m a little curious as to why Keefe isn’t messing around with the lines? He was so willing to do it on a nightly basis and now he won’t?

Going to start putting some of these losses on Keefe. We look like a one-line team and the one-line isn't even playing like world beaters right now. You know JT and Marner have worked in the past. Same with Matthews and Nylander. Why he isn't trying it I don't know. Game is probably already over anyway, but it will definitely stay over if we continue to run a slow second line of Thorton-JT-Nylander and a third line that is just skating around and not much else.

we have three 11 million dollar forwards on our team who cannot score in teh playoffs. What window?

THis team is built by the GM on the thought that 4 forwards will carry team offense and will always outscore opponents on most nights including the playoffs

Since arriving we have never been bailed out by a John Tavares game. He was a bad signing when it happened and say what you will about his career points and goals he just always seems to be one step behind.

He was stellar his first season with nearly 50 goals and 90+ points, he did a lot of things. This season he doesn't even care. You can tell.

I hope they prove me wrong Teeder but it's the same shit every year. Players come in and out but the mental mistakes and turnovers continuously haunt them. They continually want to just coast through games getting easy win. Putting in honest work for these talented pricks is too much.
