Leafs defended themselves well tonight from the Oilers bullshit.

Can’t be more thrilled with Caber , Acciari, Lafferty , and ROR ..
Terrific additions , players that come to play and fight for every inch , every play , it’s a real nice change indeed .
If we can somehow replace ZAR with possibly Steeves or Bobby M when healthy ? I hope .

Leafs played a nice game, but then again it was against Edmonton so ir doesn't prove much.

We need to see more of how the new Leafs roster plays against teams that have half a semblance of goaltending and defence, and some kind of system to their play.

Lol, Leaf’s get more power plays and people still complain about the refs

More powerplays does not equal competent officiating, it was f***in horrendous, for both teams. Leafs should have had at least two 5 on 3s. That dive by RNH ? Lily yanked down from behind by the neck, 2 feet away from the ref. The first tripping call on Kane was weak too. Refs were downright garbage, having more PPs than the other team doesn't change that.

That's how games get out of hand and guys get serious injuries. IIRC it was the same officials who "officiated" the Jets game where Pionk took runs at our guys, and Spezza ended up kneeing em in the head.

Fun fact: Oilers are closer to the 19th placed Capitals and almost the 20th place Detroit Red Wings than they are to the Leafs by points percentage.

How lucky for them to be playing in the Western conference. If they had to play teams like Toronto, Boston, Carolina, NJ etc more than twice they would be hoping the lotto balls go the right way.

Great win. The big boys... everyone of them played well. Need that in the playoffs. Really if Sammy is in net it's probably even more of a beat down. Acciari played another great game. Really liking McCabes game.

Don't do it often but it was fun to go read the GDT and post game in the Oilers board lol. Lots of great takes. Very salty.

On to a game at home against Buffalo. Fighting for their playoff lives. Should be a good one.

This win feels great. Go Leafs Go.
The Ekholm guy having a meltdown is pretty funny in there.
I really wish we can get this version of Marner (as we’ve seen most of this season) through an entire playoff series.

He can just take over a game on a whim.
I think a Tavares - ROR - Marner line would really bring out the best of his game in playoffs. Tons of IQ, puck support and good releases from in tight for Marner to find.

They did hand the bruins their asses

Still love how the Oilers didn’t have any confidence in their $5 million dollar man Campbell to start either game against his old team

It's actually crazy that they don't know we're cursed haha. I was convinced Jack Campbell would pitch a shut out or a great game out of nowhere because that's just the way things go for the Leafs.

I think the Oilers are likely going to trade some assets and ship him off to Arizona in the offseason. That contract is a disaster for them.

I’m going to make a bold statement to some ?

There’s no doubt in my mind that Mitch Marner is the absolute best all round player on this team and barring any “ serious issues “ will go down as one of the very very best in our rich History of great players …
Man o man this player is on elite elite level in all areas of his game and savant like qualities in the way he anticipates and forces the opponent to play into his game on both sides of the ice .
He gives the option , then takes it away , very rare skill ! Only the best have that , and his puck and skating skills are getting better every month it seems .
Confidence and a kid like approach to the game mixed in with a burning desire to win and achieve and to entertain as well .
Way to go to all our players tonight and our elite , all played terrific.
Leaf 4 Life !
