Those guys were gone, it didn’t matter who was out there. There’s two guys on the leafs who maybe even have a chance in hell in getting back to disrupt that play. Lafferty and Kerfoot. Everyone else it’s probably the same result.

Thought Marner had his worst game since way before xmas... but not in the turning everything over kind of game, so progress I guess.

Liljegren is a disaster right now. Clear to see he has no confidence, can't make even the simplest of plays. Thought the rest of the D were good other than Caber's first shift.

Thought we battled hard, and probably should won if not for a lame PP. We get up 3-1 that game is ovah.

Have you played hockey before? the two Florida players were already going forward, JT had to pivot. I don't understand how you blame him. Even with the pivot he was a half stride off. If anything he showed good speed there.

Go watch the replay - it is up now. I didn't realize quite how bad JT was on the play, but it is spectacular.

He goes after the wrong man who was standing still, and then after realizing he screwed up, lumbers back afterwards and can't catch a Florida player who is literally just GLIDING - not even taking strides.

If Keefe really wants to win and not coddle players for the playoffs he's gotta go with following lines IMO

Jankrok-Matthews-Nylander
Acciari-ROR-Marner (your shutdown line that can score)
Bunting-Tavares-Lafferty
Zar-Kampf-Kerfoot

5 on 5 Tavares drags down both Nylander and Marner IMO so we gotta keep them away from Tavares.

PP is 4/39 at home the last 3 playoffs. One of those goals was on a 5 on 3. So we're 3/38. 7.8%

Marner is getting run into the ground with these minutes, he’s been carrying the forward group and his tank is looking emptier.

It's not that big of a deal if your finesse guy fudges up a dangle 3 on 3. Better that than a blind pass to nobody. Tavares got a scoring chance out of it too before it went back the other way.

I like that Nylander is feeling confident heading into the playoffs. He wouldn't have tried that otherwise. Stop being so dramatic. Nylander rarelyyyyyy ever tries to dangle multiple players. This place is acting like his mistakes are a regular occurence. He's made almost no mistakes for 90% of the season.

Confidence + his usual playoff form should be a treat.
