Even great teams give up goals in the last minute. The Canes are an elite team.
And btw, hate to burst your balloon but the Leafs are one of the best teams with the goalie pulled, so if your point is good teams score when needed, Leafs have proven that too. Close games and Leafs came up short. No reason to panic.

I have total confidence in almost everybody on this team it's Sammy and to a significantly lesser extent Lilly that I don't have confidence in.

I even have a certain amount of confidence in Woll if he can stay healthy.

But Samsonov?

Just goes to show that your depth means nothing (certainly in a seven game series) if your top dogs do not show up to the fight consistently.

Our depth was good tonight. Our D and our top line were awful, literally brutal.

Samsonov shit the bed and accepted his failure and took a week off not being assured of anything in this media spotlight. He then came back and won the net winning 13 of 15 games. That to me makes him the opposite of a coward.
