Those same refs gifted the Leafs a power play in overtime. You can't blame the refs. The Leafs lost because their penalty killing is problem.

Game management sucks the fun out of the sport. Even when it benefits your team eventually, every fanbase (except maybe a couple) deal with it.

Also the game doesn't even get to overtime if the Hurricanes don't get those calls. Even better, the penalty against McCabe was a clear dive and 20 seconds later Dewar got held plain as day.

I do agree with you though, which is why I said the Leafs did enough to lose for themselves. The special teams has serious issues and its not just a personnel problem, it's a coaching problem.

The disappearing act by the team during key PPs seems to be more of a player problem though. They both need to be fixed if they want to sniff any wins in the playoffs.

You can't let in last second goals and fail on both special teams. The reffing added insult to injury though.

Keefe is still figuring out who he can trust, lol.

Sammy would’ve been eaten alive if he let in those goals. Hurrr durrr an unscreened shot from JT lol, swimming in the Galapagos on the Willy one, lol shades of toskala and David Kampf? Trash goalie close your legs, open wider than a $2 hooker. It would’ve been insane even though they were all breakaways.

Why is it every time the Leafs lose it's always the refs fault?

Why can't it ever be the Leafs fault? Are we really supposed to believe this team is sooooo good they would win every game if it wasn't for the refs? Or is it possible the rest of the league can win games too?

It just seems a little too far fetched the refs always got it in for the Leafs.

I can believe one or two of them might hold a grudge against a player or coach. Like Kerry Fraser back in the day. Or the weirdo that has a problem with Keefe.

But to believe the entire league has it in for them is too much a leap in imagination for my liking.

I didn't watch enough Polka Dot Door as a kid. It's challenging for me to believe in conspiracy theories. Especially ones so lofty as this.

Besides, we all know it's really bad luck.

It clearly does not look good, and for good reason, but I will mention that last year the Leafs were 3-0-1 against the Panthers and look how that meant diddly squat in the playoffs. Still, I don’t see this team getting past the first round. This core just does not have what it takes to win in the playoffs!
