Sorry man, but with what has been happening in Brodie’s personal life the past few years, I find your comment way over the top!
It was completely sarcasm. I always liked the guy but he has fallen off a cliff this year.

And we all have tragedy in our personal life. Criticism comes with the territory in hockey it's nothing personal I wish him all the best off the ice. On the ice he's been putrid and I think it's justified.

I'm not blaming the refs for this. No excuse to blow a 3-0 lead on home ice.

This will be the norm through the rest of the season unfortunately as the Leafs are pretty much set in 3rd place & so (they think they) really have nothing to play for at this point.
Except maybe to work on their pathetic PP (it’s at something like 5% over the last 3 weeks or so)!

Yes, we all have tragedies in our lives, but it’s not out in the open for all the world to see. And losing your father while also finding out your wife has MS would definitely affect your work life, which in this case is him playing in the NHL.
Brodie was very bad this year, but you have to admit that since he was switched back to his natural left side, he has been playing better.
Bottom line is I took your comment way too personal, and I’m sorry for that. Cheers and GLG!!!

On the plus side, I'm liking Edmundson, he's quickly becoming a core D man back there. Also Dewar is gaining my confidence, smart player.

I think the power play will be fine, but the penalty kill.....
The PP has been at around 5% for the last 2-3 weeks. Hasn’t this been a pattern for the last few years for this team heading down the stretch and into the playoffs?

Special teams killed us. Leafs were great 5v5 and didn’t bury them when they could have.
That is the one thing I’m happy to see from this team this year, much better at scoring 5v5, which is good to see if they can continue come playoff time.

Keefe is funny, bragging again how Robertson always shows up after being benched, when it's really just the player giving a huge f*** you to his coach.

For a team that needs secondary scoring, a guy who is on an 18 goal pace, with stupid low minutes and no PP time, you need to find a way to keep him in the lineup. He was struggling last couple games prior to being pulled, but ditto Knies, it's part of the learning curve, stick with it and you'll be rewarded. And his defensive play isn't that and at all, he can hustle win a puck, which was evident several times last night.

Who do you take out for Robby? Just rotate him and Knies?

Feels like McMann Bert are locked in on LW, down the middle and RW are set when healthy in the top 9. Fourth line doesn't make sense for him.

Knies has too long of a leesh then he should. Feels like the new kid syndrome
Lately he has been taking a lot of bad penalties. Partly because he's not fast, behind most plays or just lazy

McMann and Holmberg both have their marks. So if anybody comes off or rotates, it's between Knies and Robby

True, but with Järnkrok out for a spell, and ultimately Holmberg moving down, he still can find a spot in top 9. There is never a shutdown third line in this team, so Robertson should be able to slot in.

Does he score 60 without Marner?

I absolutely think Auston Matthews is capable of scoring sixty goals without Mitch Marner.

Matthews goal scoring ability is heavily connected to an absolutely invisible and lightning fast release.

He's not one of these guys who cleverly finds seams and gets open and requires a skilled playmaker to take advantage and find him when he's discovered an opening.

Matthews, paired with any decent puck distributor, is a deadly goal scorer.

Pretending that Marner should be getting a ton of praise for Matthews success is completely wrong.

On to the next. Leafs are destined for 3rd.

We draw the 2 worst teams either way. The way the seeding works is terrible.

NHL is apparently happy with that.

I think it’s become increasingly obvious Keefe does not know how to develop players at the NHL level

If anyone who watched that game last night does not believe that the NHL is rigged and fixed nothing will make you see the light. The quicker people start understanding that the happier you will be. Nothing else will explain that outcome.

He'd be my go to when someone in the top 9 is hurt, by I get why he's in and out of the lineup with our healthy group

I watched 90% of the game and didn’t notice the rigged part. Looked more like two teams that either don’t know how to play, or didn't care and just went through the motions.
