Brads signings have not turned out well and signing kampf/Reaves to those long contracts looks bad. If things keep going bad time to give Shanny the boot.

Are we all in agreement now?

Kingberg is next in line for the Holl, Berg, Lumme, Murphy

The bad outweigh any good they provide. Still never got the signing get a PP specialist to do what? Get above 30%? I guess the franchise record 29% wasn't good enough.

Our 3rd pair is a couple of AHLers, the blueline is considerably worse with Klingberg on it
You believe Klingberg is so much worse than Holl that the leafs defense is now considerably worse? I’d give you slightly worse but that seems a bit of hyperbole to think he has dragged the team down that much vs someone like Holl who was shit on every other game for being god awful.

He signed Ritchie and mrazek
traded for Murray, foligno, McCabe
kept sparks, and kerfoot instead McCann
Let Andersen walk
dealt the Jarvis pick
got nothing back for johnsson or kadri

He made his fair share of f*** ups, he had a promising team and ruined it, stop backing him up so much when he did jackshit

The Leafs were still a way better team after all those moves

He cut ties quickly though... I hope Treliving does the same, I don't want to waste seasons. If we have a Nick Ritchie, package him and get someone better.
I agree with hoping Tre makes some changes very soon, I’m just not sure if he will

The signings have been awful so far, but at the time they looked like solid low risk additions. To be fair, Calgary is a tough market to sell, and you have to overpay to keep players

Low risk in the sense it is only one wasted season, sure.

I just think throwing low IQ players with this team was not the way to go, but Treliving wanted "snot".

Hope they eventually form some chemistry and the 4th line really needs to be figured out.

Core and culture I agree with, but if we are talking about on ice additions, Brad has failed.

You just admitted that Dubas "failed" in Toronto so why the heck are you so obsessed with the guy?

You were literally one of if not the most active posters on this forum and now you basically only show up when the team loses and are first to start the post game thread to throw some negativity towards the new GM.

So here is Tree's test. Looks like Klingburg is a dud. So does he recognize it and cut bait earlier than later. A good GM realizes their misses and makes it right.

I will give Dubas credit if something did work like say Ritchie he moved on quicker than normal
Nope. Keep as is and write the season off.

Get a decent draft pick into the organization.

Have a full summer to figure out how to get out of some of these big contracts.

Let the 1 year rentals walk.

If he trades out of the 1st round to get out of Reeves or Kampf, I'm gonna lose my shit.

Not sure Keefe knows how to optimize these lines.

If Matthews, Marner or Nylander arent scoring... We are very mediocre.

We have no cap space for quality depth so coach should create depth lines. They should have 11 AAV players on 3 different lines running them about the same minutes.

You need to get other guys going as a coach; it is your responsibility.

They should at least try taht at home ice with last change. Keefe has to do this to get bert, domi, knies going a bit

That's the thing, this team finally devolved into the big 4 and not much else. it was slowly going in that direction for years now.
Thing is it felt like the off-season really kept last years depth the same

Domi has been a given 40 points a year
Bertuzzi has been a given 50 point a year, maybe more given the opportunity he would have
Knies should develop in 30 points
Jarnkrok should be a given 30 points

It’s not amazing depth, but it’s good enough to where you can expect a depth win every 3-4 wins how

3rd Planet From Sun.
Dubas is not a good GM, he's arguably the reason we're in this mess.
Dubas deserves a lot of the blame but at least his teams could defend.
Pizzaboy has built a team that is every bit as soft and still had no depth but can no longer defend.
Somehow he managed to nullify one of our biggest strengths without addressing any of our weaknesses.

the "mess" is paying $14 million for Bertuzzi, Domi, Klingberg and Reaves to be absolutely useless. Klingberg and Reaves are worse than useless, they're just actually terrible players constantly hurting the team

anyone blaming Dubas sounds like a moron. This is the worst depth the Leafs have had, by far. That is what missing on every free agent signings does.
If you believe this problem only started now then you are also a moron. Go take a look at what the bottom six was to start last season, it was no better. They also started like shit the last two seasons. It is a bigger problem

The QC
Rough going...

None of the off season moves are even close to working out. I take that back, Gregor is fine. But the rest are legit disasters.

Knies has zero impact.

Kempf has taken a step back.

Jarnlrok is playing too high.

Core has been good, but they are carrying ALL the weight, and any misstep they make leads to losses since the rest of the roster does nothing.

I don't even see any real hope for this roster unless a LOT of guys start having some sort of an impact.

I know it’s only 11 games into the season but we’re currently tied with Montreal and Buffalo for holding that final wild card spot…. Lol

I've been a fan my whole life. At nearly 40 years old, this is the first season that I've voluntarily skipped watching games. Even during some really dark years, I made a point to watch. There's something rotten with this group that has me feeling jaded.
Agree. I've been watching since 1974 and this is easily the most unlikable team despite possessing some tremendous talent. The Liljgren incident just reaffirmed my opinion.
