the "mess" is paying $14 million for Bertuzzi, Domi, Klingberg and Reaves to be absolutely useless. Klingberg and Reaves are worse than useless, they're just actually terrible players constantly hurting the team

Sure, but the problem is the core and culture. Dubas overpaid guys who didn't achieve anything and created a loser culture and brought in his friend Keefe who is also a loser. If doesn't matter what depth signings we make cause Keefe doesn't know how to use any of them.
