Post-Game Talk: Leafs Lose to Sens

I loved the Reilly hit and commend him for doing so.

You cannot have a no-talent hack like Ridly Greig hotdogging on you like that and not respond physically.

It brought back great memories of the 1993 playoffs when Dale Hunter levelled Sneaky Pete Turgeon for his ridiculous celebration after running up the score in an elimination game.

Hunter was such a great captain - - ZERO surprise that he’s gone on to become the greatest coach in junior hockey history.

And if Hunter had been coaching the Leafs for the past five years, I can guarantee they’d have more than just ONE (1) playoff victory.

They’re losers. They’ve been losers since their back to back Game 7 losses to Boston and cemented in the losers Hall of Fame after the Columbus and Montreal choke jobs.

Losing doesn’t mean anything to them. They know our loser management doesn’t care and they get paid anyway.

As a Leafs fan, it’s hard to argue with that.

The team is a reflection of the coach, and until Keefe is finally euthanized the results aren’t likely to change.

I am surprised by the number of fans that think Ottawa is a dumpster fire, when they now have 1 less regulation win than we do and have played 2 less games.

well, I suppose if we got to play against ourselves 4 times a season, we’d have. 3 or 4 more wins.

Going into the season I expected both teams to be battling for a playoff position. Ottawa is a the most disappointing team in the NHL. As you saw last light, they’re very disorganized and almost gave away a 2 goal lead in the 3rd.

Most definitely. The kid needed some common sense in that situation. There is no reason to wind up five feet from an empty net, especially when your team is as far out of things as Ottawa is.

Scoring on an empty net is being gutless? How about play better, than they can’t score empty netters. Cross checking someone in the face is not going after someone lol. I’m guessing you probably enjoy punching a guy already engaged in a fight too.

The NHL should encourage Rielly’s response to unsportsmanlike plays like that.

He did but he was careless by hitting him in the head. Rather have the team show some emotion during a game they were losing to a bitter rival.

News to the team, you were embarrassed for most of 60 minutes.

Just what we needed.. Rielly getting himself suspended as we play with wild card fire, and because he's a Leaf, media and ol' brain damage Parros will make sure it's for 10x longer than anybody else doing the same thing. Congratulations, you just sent the message that teams can bait you into hurting your team. Do something that matters when it matters, not something pointless with 4 seconds left.

Can you not see how this was very important for the team? The last thing we saw last season was Gudas screaming in our goalies face. We cannot let that stuff slide and be a unified team at the same time. Hopefully the core takes note because Keefe certainly did. Something we haven’t had the entire time with this core is unification. If Rielly can’t get it no one can. We will see how the boys respond but I’m very glad something with this team has changed.

I've been in HF jail for 2 months because I questioned whether the member I was debating with ever play the game or just computer stats. It's a joke.

Some of the same people commending Rielly would be whining for a month if Tkachuk did that to Nylander or Marner. If you take off your Blue and White glasses, it was a cheap shot. I get it, you do not do what Grieg, but the reaction was over the top in game where the team showed little in terms of intensity and emotion. Hopefully he does not get more than 3 games.
