I slept on the play and I’m still overjoyed how Rielly reacted. Our true captain for sure!

Can you imagine how everyone would’ve reacted if no one did anything and simply skated by Greig at the end of the game?

It would be much worse than this response. I hope not a single person here complains about what Rielly gets as discipline. We need to stand behind him.

I'm begging this team to go far in the playoffs so I don't have to hear Sens fans saying we've won less rounds in all these years of playoffs than the one playoff they had.

Treliving's first offseason was not good.
Shanahan has been here for along time now and under his watch we have ONE playoff series win, when at the start of this entire thing the whole hockey world was projecting us to be future cup winners and yes there was even talk about being the next CHI. This just isn't anywhere near good enough for a franchise with this much talent and resources.

What's more alarming though is the way we play. I'm not even talking about being soft or not tough or being questionable defensively but the lack of attention to detail and consistency of effort. I watched the Minny vs PITT game the other night and every single play had a crispness and force that we just don't see much of with our squad. Strong north-south hockey, putting pressure on the defence with a good forecheck, making the smart play and not trying to force fancy low percentage passes. Sure Treliving might have added some players that aren't as good defensively but the team as a whole isn't playing like a team who's being well coached and there's no consistency of work ethic, game to game or even period to period.

Keefe might not be the problem or maybe he is but it's looking more and more like we should have made a coaching change in the offseason or earlier this season when the results weren't as good as they should be.

It happens way too often that the refs decide not to call anything and lose control of the game. You could really see it coming a mile away, and it usually leads to an inflated suspension against a Leaf player for a physical play that would have been considered routine or even good if any other team did it

When they start only giving points for regulation wins feel free to chirp back in. Until then who cares. Just means the leafs have been in way more closer games then the sens who decide to lose in regulation.

Teams are closer in ability than most Fans want to admit is all I’m saying. After 50 games we have scored 13 more goals total and given up 11 less in total. And we do have that 1 more regulation win. Ottawa is worse than us but we aren’t that much ahead of a dumpster fire.

No team can survive without desire and passion. With the exception of a couple guys we do not have that.
Everyone is surprised at Reilly. On good teams that could happen in the first period for a sideways look.

If this game isnt on HNIC he would get norhing. Marchments hit on McCabe was worse and only got $5000.
It was late on a defenseless player and injured him.
Mo's first point of contact wasn't the head and Greig had time to defend himself and dripped like he was shot.

Just what we needed.. Rielly getting himself suspended as we play with wild card fire, and because he's a Leaf, media and ol' brain damage Parros will make sure it's for 10x longer than anybody else doing the same thing. Congratulations, you just sent the message that teams can bait you into hurting your team. Do something that matters when it matters, not something pointless with 4 seconds left.

Empty net goals happen all the without incident but when you show the other team up Mo's reaction happens 99% of the time.
And Greig is lucky he plays in the marshmallow league of today.

They’re losers. They’ve been losers since their back to back Game 7 losses to Boston and cemented in the losers Hall of Fame after the Columbus and Montreal choke jobs.

Losing doesn’t mean anything to them. They know our loser management doesn’t care and they get paid anyway.
