It's the double standard of it all. There have been many dirty plays over the years in the NHL that happened on HNIC with the assumption the DoPS would look into it. Not once has Friedman felt the need to go out of his way to tag the DoPS Twitter account. It won't or at least shouldn't have any bearing on what they'll do but it's a bizarre thing for him to do when he's never done it before and far worse has been done in this league without him feeling the need to comment in such a way.
You follow him that closely? I’d be surprised if he’s never done it before.
Just seems like an odd thing to care about.

He will instant block you. Like, wtf would you be to speak to him let alone question his actions. This guy is a real arrogant pos.

For the record, he has not blocked me lol But I do know a few people he has for asking legit questions that went against his story or narrative as it were.
if true, that seems so insecure

someone challenges your view and you block them?

the term fragile ego has been thrown around alot today in the main boards, seems to apply here very well for EF

Could not agree more. For example, there are lots of posters I feel like I should block on there, but who am I to not listen to others perspectives regardless if I agree or not? Just seems small. But, to each their own, no judgement.

I dunno if he is insecure or not, and I've not had much interaction with him, but he does come off as at least arrogant and at somewhat fragile as you say. Anyway, I am sure he got lots of clicks and retweets, which I am sure was his goal. Good job Frieds!

It all depends on what kind of power trip the moderator is on. And also how much whining and complaining the resident puss members do to the moderators.

I was completely banned from the OHL forum - - I can’t even view it - - because some bag lick was whining about how the “young players” read the message board and get upset when they see criticism of their play.
I was perma banned from Reddit cuz I told someone to eat shit because they were complaining that the graphics in FF16 were bad or something about performance/tv/shit I don't even known.

I guess I just don't think it's a big deal or anything to worry about.

I just think if you're going to try to present yourself as objective you can do a better job of it than trying to put a target on one particular team when you've never bothered to do it for any other franchise.

No someone searched his tweet history to see if he had ever tagged the DoPS like he did in that one. The tweet pointing out he hadn't just came across my feed.

Don’t have a legit argument. Toss an insult at someone you don’t know.
Not really a method of use recommended by intelligent people.
Why are you here? As a nonLeaf fan, your opinion is neither wanted, valid, or appreciated here. The legit argument pertaining to the hit is an unwritten code among players that you don’t show up a losing team by slapping the puck into an empty net. Imo, he only gets two games because even Parros realizes the stupidity of what that idiot did.

Benoit had a terrible game tonight. Uncharacteristically poor showing from him. Keefe did seem to keep switching him and Liljegren all game but still.

I haven’t used the term “bag licker” in a long time. But I can assure you I will be reusing it again. Lol.

Did they ever say why Timmins and Giordano didn’t skate this morning?
You’d have to think Timmins will draw in while Rielly is out.

Great ending to the a good game. Leafs could have easily won this one. Nylander almost got the equalizer. The core 4 doing their thing again. Auston tearing up the league continues. Disappointing to not get the W but nothing to be concerned about. And the ending will be a positive for the Leafs. It is the type of thing that will bring the team together. Sure Rielly will probably be suspended (I predict 3 games - half of Perron bc he doesn't have history) but it will just be an opportunity for others to step up and will just bring more out of the Core 4.

Do you honestly believe this team can go on a deep run or is the important thing getting smoked in the 1st round?

I see a garbage D core, I see a garbage bottom 6, iffy goaltending, soft play throughout the lineup...what makes you thing it's gonna be different in the playoffs?

I am not a prophet nor a visionary. I don't forsee this team doing well in the playoffs; however, I am not worried about the playoffs because they haven't played out yet. I personally think it is good that this team is facing real adversity for the first time during a regular season in a long time. This year has been strange league wide... I think that makes things very interesting.

I am surprised by the number of fans that think Ottawa is a dumpster fire, when they now have 1 less regulation win than we do and have played 2 less games.

well, I suppose if we got to play against ourselves 4 times a season, we’d have. 3 or 4 more wins.
When they start only giving points for regulation wins feel free to chirp back in. Until then who cares. Just means the leafs have been in way more closer games then the sens who decide to lose in regulation.

You might have to zoom out to see both teams on the same screen...

For as garbage as the Leafs can be, the Sens are in another stratosphere. No doubt they'll get better, but this is not that year.

Relax. It's NHL hockey. That's the way it goes sometimes. The Leafs are a top tier team. Would you want to switch places with the Sens??
I think top tier is a stretch. I think they are "mid"-tier.

And no, I would not want to switch places with the Sens... ever... for any reason... even when we suck... like actually suck.

No one can predict how many games he will get because no one has a clue what is a suspension under Parros. Unless there is a leaf of course. Parros must feel so alive tonight.

Parros is not getting any sleep tonight. He must be riddled with excitement.

The suspension will be X Games + Leafs Tax. As you say, whatever that is.

It's not a stretch. The Leafs can beat any team in the league and have proven that. I see the Leafs as the Eastern Conference Champs. Colorado is my pick as the Stanley Cup Champion, but the Toronto is very capable of discarding Boston, Florida, NYR, or Carolina. Of course, any success in the playoffs can be a razor thin margin, need to get some breaks and of course goaltending is key. Let's not forget the Leafs are doing all of this without their #1 goalie. I have complete faith in the Brick Woll.

That was the most hockey like reaction I've seen from this team in a very very long time. Makes me realize how much I hate this teams culture.
To watch the others cruise in and do nothing is so frustrating. I get Marner. What is he going to do. But the captain Tavares is a solid guy. For the love of god show a pulse.
