that non-call on JT is just a preview of the playoffs. calls will be hard to come by and there will be much less space for our stars. going to be a battle and hope this year's team can at least win a round. that being said i think we match up good against Tampa.

Yeah I don't understand how they don't make the call when it could've led directly to a goal like that.

It's like we reached our powerplay limit so anything goes against us now.

Imagine this being Game 7 OT. Like wtf...

And this game wasn't nothing. There is playoff positioning/home ice still to be determined. every point counts. these refs are being incompetent on purpose. THe ref is watching that play happening and still doesn't call. That is what ticks me off. Its not like it happened beind the play where refs were not watching

That was fun.
having said that:
Holl - F
I dont know what to say about this guy anymore. Room temperature IQ.

Kallgren - F
I like Kallgren but that SHG from Gudas is about as close to unforgivable as it gets. He essentially pulled himself from the game which doesn't bode well for his mentality.

Brodie - F
Bad decisions all night, a couple leading to goals/penalties. Sluggish mentally and physically

Tavares - F+
+ for tying the game, but one of his worst of the season. He turned the puck over on the powerplay about 10 f***ing times. His OT performance is a sad reminder that he's simply too slow to play in all situations.

Keefe - F
Holl over Lybushkin was dumb, pairing him with Muzz was dumb enough to secure the F before the game started.

We were dead tired but we still pull this game off pretty easily if not for the combined effort of these dudes, particularly Kallgren and Holl.

You left out the small detail of 5-1.
Okay. The other team gets a few PP. You have a bad bounce and it's easily 5-3 or 5-4. Look at the entire situation and don't be so negative.
A lot of people see we blew a lead by the score. BUT pay attention to the effort and gasping for air the boys were putting towards the end of the game. You should be proud of that!

Yep just like the hold on Matthews that led directly to the 2 on 1 in OT a while back. It's infuriating and just puzzling.

Defensive guy and Puck mover. Usually a good formula. You don't want to have both of the same in most cases.

I hear you, but keep in mind that Muzzin was a two-way dman in LA. It's only here that we used him strictly as a shutdown guy out of necessity.

They should just burn the NHL rulebook. Tell fans that NHL is rigged. It is actually WWE where winners are already determined prior to the games.

No wonder NHL never actually gets casual fans to stick around because of this shit show of reffing deciding games

I'm just checking the NHL rulebook and realize there's only one page:

Lost in all this is that the Leafs only gave up 2 goals at regular strength.

Must be the first game all year we've given up 4 goals on special teams.

Yeah this tape will be good to work on that PK against some elite teams

The Tampa game too.

The Leafs play a nice aggressive PK but skill teams can count that quickly with good passing.

I wouldn't look too much into the blown lead. Keefe ran the bootleg pairings. He learned his lesson.

What I did see in our 2 games against them is a team that can't hang with the Leafs for 7 games.

It is hard to admit, but this team is mentally fragile, especially goalies. First round exit is loooming again, boys.

Round 1, game 7, don't care who the opponent is.
Toronto has a 5-1 lead early in the 2nd period.

On a scale of 1 (too scared to watch) to 10 (break out the champagne) how confident are you they win the game?

Personally, I'd be about a 2. Probably turn it off, go for a walk and fully expect when I turn the game back on mid-way through the 3rd it's 5-4, or 5-5.

Bold of you to assume that the Leafs will score more than 1 goal in a game 7 :sarcasm:
