At this point I actually feel bad for Keefe

Yes, he's earned a fair share of negative attention, especially this season. But looking at how things are with the team at the moment, lots of it seems beyond his control. Either from managerial decisions to how so many on the team look absolute flatfooted
Tough to win games with your first line gifting opponents goals

thank goodness i don’t care about this team as much as previous years, I don’t think previous me could take this

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. It’s obvious that this team isn’t capable of winning a championship and yet Dubas makes virtually no changes outside of goaltending.

Dubas isn’t living in reality and cannot accept the deficiencies of the team namely spoiled stars and a slow footed defence. They need a new coach and a couple of puck moving D men at a minimum just to make th playoffs.

The only good news from this unfolding farce is that it might force Shanahan into action and start making changes sooner rather than later.

I think the Leafs team is literally having trauma problems. I genuinely think they are done as this group. They are so mentally destroyed it’s unbelievable. The sum of this teams part and the night to night performance is wild

Honestly think this might be it. JT return to long island, Zamboni game, blown 3-1 series lead to a team that wouldn't have made the playoffs under normal circumstances, the list goes on.
So many embarrassingly bad moments for the core it just might be a part of their identity now.

These cliche interviews at the end of the game are such garbage
I had to change the channel. I simply cannot watch the unlikable bunch do these post game interview. It obvious from their play that they don’t give a crap so anything they say in an interview is meaningless

Good grief, yes. Ottawa's 1st round pick in 2023 should have come along with 50% salary retention!!!

I'm ready to see changes, Dubas, Keefe, Shanahan, players, whatever, but I know it's a popular story that Buffalo was gonna get Ottawa's 1st for Murray at 50% retention, but there's simply no way that's true. Ottawa isn't that stupid and there's no way they do that deal knowing Toronto also had interest at a much lower amount. The most likely scenario is Buffalo was sending something of real value to Ottawa back in the proposed deal.

LMAO look whats trending on twitter

Keefe played Nylander 15 seconds more than Engvall tonight. Theres a lot of things within his control he's screwing up.

Then we should at least look into it

If we can get more than:
50-60 point winger
Top 4 solid defencemen
Top picks

We get draft capital back, and while we lose out on scoring, we make our defence not abysmal
You're preaching to the choir my friend. I wrote this recently, but I've advocated trading Marner since losing the Columbus series. I'm a fan of him and his game, but I just don't think three 11 mil forwards is sustainable without the projected cap increases. Tavares has nmc, Matthews is Matthews. That leaves Marner.

Key point... Marner is half way through his contract, but has already been paid 75% of its total money. Which means, in real money, he makes about 5 mil per year the next 3 years. Half the teams in the league would absolutely die for a 100 point player making 5 mil in real money. Cap ceilings mean nothing to the poor teams.

Keefe is most definitely part of conversations when it comes to players. That was shown in the Amazon series. Dubas and Keefe are best of pals, they speak all the time. I wouldn't feel bad.

If that is true, what a sad way to go out
