I'd never like to hear that Tampa Bay Lightning is compared to Los Angeles Kings. I understand your point quite well, but if you compare rosters, it wasn't same to play against Lightning than playing against Kings. It isn't always fair and you play who you play, but straight comparison in this case is just unnecessary. If we next year win Red Wings 4-3 and Oilers lose to Avalanche 4-3, which player had better chance to shine?I also never want to hear Matthews compared to McDavid ever again. McDavid turned it up in this year's playoffs and dragged his dogwater team to the second round while Drai played like ass. Matthews played alright but did not turn it up in the slightest and was a no-show in game 7 in comparison.
I sure hope Matthews finds yet another gear, that he can dominate anyone anytime, but it usually comes with experience. Players like Crosby are anomaly and McDavid is closest to him yet.
