The problem is that you're looking at penalties as the logical implementation of a standardized set of rules. This is not true. Penalties are bounces that will go for or against you based on luck and occasionally whim.

Don Cherry was one of our biggest fans,and hard on us at times,and as a cheerleader his advice would have been listened to.Game 5 is a good example.Look at what happened here when the fans started yelling "SHOOT THE PUCK",the players actually listened to them,and it helped make it a good game,and win in Game 5.
Players needing to be told to shoot the puck is brutal to begin with.They need to do that in every game all year long,no matter what.

Yes and No.
To me, it is in the infancy stage and due to not having top end guys, Stevie Y is taking the time to rebuild.
I think TB success was down to their drafting and developing. guys like Point, Cirelli, Colton were all mid round picks.

Took a peak at HFBolts and the topic in their HTD from game 7 is Leaf fans. You would think that fans of a team gunning for a three peat would behave better than this.
