  • We're expecting server maintenance on March 3rd starting at midnight, there may be downtime during the work.

Now that I am a bit more accepting. Run it back

Agreed with most of it but they need to swap Nylander for someone who works with Tavares and doesn't skate away from the puck in fear. You can't have a big 4 and not be able to use Nylander in a combination with the top two C's.

They also need to fix the power play.

Sure, but regular season is way different than playoffs and he consistently failed building a team that can win. It's on the players too, but he is not willing to do the difficult things that are needed in order to push this team over the top.
Pretty sure he will be presented with an ultimatum this time around. His last move is to change the core. If he refuses, he is gone imo. If he does adjust the core, and the result is the same at the end of next seasons playffs, I think the entire management team is gone.

Marner is the one they need to move. Nylanders cap hit is too good to trade.

Spezza crying off the ice, likely his last game, deserved better

This team did not show up in Game2, Game 4 and had only 4 shots on goal in the 3rd period of Game 6.

I feel for Spezza but the no-shows by this team especially since they haven't won shit was unacceptable. I don't care that tampa didn't show up in game 1 and game 3. Leafs were supposed to play hard entire series. They didn't!

It hurts. This has been the best Leaf team in a long time. The only difference in this series is Tampa was amazing at throwing their bodies in the ways of shots. Where the Leafs would stand in front of the shooter and try and turn into the shot ( or maybe away). Toronto played well. All of us were hoping it was a passing of the baton. It's going to have to wait one more season. Last year was a choke job, i was angry and wanted Dubas to trade a core piece. In hindsight that was wrong. I'm not sure where it goes from here. Some decent young players need to be retained. Will that come at the cost of someone? Probably, that's how the salary cap works. I'm disappointed, last year I was angry. Snatch the damn pebble Grasshopper!!!

Cooper was a genius. He never let his team believe that that Leafs beat them, that they beat themselves
He constantly said in media, we gave it to them. They didn't out play us

There was belief in his tone, a sense of confidence

After losing his entire 3rd line, an integral 3rd line from last year. He still gets the best out of his players and the new 3rd line
He finds a hero in nobody.... Nick Paul tonight was that guy

Why are troll posts tolerated on the Leafs board while Leafs fans get infracted anywhere outside of Leaf forum is beyond me

Did NHL take over HF Boards too?

I posted one time on the Oilers board, and nothing that was even remotely bad compared to what goes on here, and I was promptly sent to the naughty corner.

If the rest of the 11 millionaires laid it on the line like he did, we would've won handedly. Paying a 5'10 170 lb runt 11 million to figure skate is ridiculous. In the last minutes of the game today I saw Marner hustle into the crease and nearly fall face first looking for a rebound. First time I saw it all series. It was the final 2 minutes of game 7. Any other time he stands and watches his pass, then puts his mouth guard in his glove and skates off after the whistle is blown.

I would've preferred Liljegren with Giordano instead of Holl in the lineup.

Holl was ok, but it seems that he was the reason the Leafs lost when it mattered. Whether it was giving momentum to the other team, being on the ice for the OT goal, or causing a penalty so that the goal scored is negated.

It's unfortunate, felt there were a lot of positives to this team, but the Leafs got a bit unlucky.
