Like the Boston series, another "interesting one" for the Leafs. The usual corporate Yes Men on Sportsnet (we know who they are), pretend the series has been fair and on the level. MLSE sits silent, not wanting to rock the boat of their earnings.

Yes, yes, no doubt. But they still need to get better somehow. Good chance they play TB again next year with this divisional format. I think the core needs a shakeup, the big reason is that the 0-9 record with a chance to close out a team is a mental block. Why would we think next year these same guys will break through? For that reason, I think they need a major shakeup.

But it's still true that we needed more tonight. So many legacies on the line and they should've been pissed being robbed of the win in Game 6. Should have seen a performance like Game 1 where they just refused to be denied.

Gio had an important PP assist in game 5 when he was on PP1. What Keefe did after that? Put Reilly back in.

I mean, you got a good point. We were a shot away from eliminating them in OT of game 6, it just didn't go our way. Something has to change. How do you improve the goaltending, for example, if you don't want to move a big contract? Still have to get by Tampa somehow, 1st round or 2nd round doesn't matter.
