In retrospect it feels like it would have been a no brainer to put Marner back with Tavares given known chemistry and Tavares picking it up game five onward.

Keefe made it super easy for Cooper. All cooper had to do was shut down matthews-marner 5 on 5 let them play fancy perimeter hockey and then let tampa's depth deal with toronto's depth.

It is playoffs; other teams adjust. Teams aren't stupid. Keefe made Tampa's life easy.

Hell even with last change he didn't catch tampa with a stacked line tonight. Imagine that. How bad of a coach do you have to be to not even be able to do that especially when you are down a goal

Just like last year, Game 6 was the chance.

Last year Dermott screwed us. This year it was the refs. Crazy to think this series was essentially decided by Foote snapping his head back.
Keep blaming the refs. You suckers always have an excuse, every year. The only consistent thing the past 6 playoffs is this team can’t win.

I said it all year and right from day 1,this is a Dubas team and everyone enjoy what will be a great regular season and then get ready for disappointment come playoffs.

Nothing changed since he took over and his so called added grit were either over the hill or stupid players that take stupid penalties and in the playoffs will play little so he really didn't add grit.

He added a couple of decent defensemen but at great cost and they are aging and you could see them wearing down and it was only the first round.

So he built a lousy playoff team, has continued to draft the same type players so nothing will change, messed up the cap and traded away a ton of futures and promoted an inexperienced coach that cannot adapt to NHL playoff hockey for the glory of first round exits.

Matthews has 2 years left and will do his thing and for sure test the FA market.

If Dubas ends up keeping his job how can anyone expect different,we need an experienced GM and coach right now and try to get something out of these last 2 years because it will then be another rebuild and another bunch of years to maybe be competitive again.

Nobody
Nick Paul almost had a hatty.

21 games played this season. Almost had a hatty in a pivotal game 7. Yikes.

Tampa paid a hefty price for him and Hagel
They dont' care, they are willing to part with assets if they can get performance like this

This game alone makes up for all the price they paid for Hagel. I don't care what 2022 draft pick we have that may or may not play for another 5 years
