Helluva series but the hockey gods laugh at the Leafs again.

In many ways one of the best seasons ever and a bounce away from taking out the champs but it is what it is. Can't fault them for playing their hearts out though. They'll be back again as a top team next year and hopefully will be able to pull off a run.

Overall, was a fun season around here and I look forward to arguing with y'all for the next run.

Lol yeah, I do know that. Adam was much tougher than Cal is. Cal is big but its not like he is some kind of overpowering, tough, beast-like player.

To be fair the rest of the roster did their jobs considering their pay checks. We can keep rotating the 50 million we have left to new players after 33 million gets dispersed to three guys.... but it hasn't been working. Would it be too much to ask for those 11 million dollar guys to make an 11 million dollar impact once in 3 years? I mean... Marner had 0 shots in 25 minutes.... 0 shots!

Holl is not the type of player you win playoffs with....he doesn't even look like he wants to play playoff hockey. At least Liljegren has an edge.... but it's just one more year of Liljegren not getting critical experience because Keefe is scared to coach inexperienced players.

Everyone else should be expendable.
If you were starting a franchise and you had those three you would be off and running.

We needed more from the depth

Well take a guy like nylander for example

He “won” his matchup with 7 in 7

He scored those 7 in 3 games

He was useless in the other 3 and didn’t do anything notable today either

Tavares also had a very similar situation

Our stats either had amazing games or terrible games

We needed game 7 to be a game where they all showed up where it mattered and they did not
