I suspect you're right. Reaves should be playing with two more bang and crash guys and then hen you'd have a line. Gregor can play on the 3rd. Holmberg can play with the Marlies.

I think Keefe was part of creating the culture, but I do not believe he is actively discouraging any kind of response... nor is he encouraging it... nor should he have to.

If your effin teammates will not get out there and kick up a bit of a stink, you're done as a team when the tough times come.

Dunno who wants to hear it but we needed epic comebacks in games 1 and 2 to win. The team could easily be 3-5-2 right now. Even with the good luck they've had, they're not even in a wildcard position. Changes are needed. Should have been Keefe (nothing against him, it's just easy). Nylander's next (because, again, it's easy - I like the player).

Remember Foligno? He fought Perry while everyone else stood around. Guess what? He was brand new too. Before the culture Keefe imposes could take hold.

Why is our ever so exciting, uber outgoing Captain of the f***ing team not going to talk to Marchand. Does Tavares even take pride in his position? Marchand isn't obviously going to fight Reeves. Why isn't Tavares showing the rest of the team that it does actually matter?

Keefe has opened himself up to criticisms, especially this game BUT I'm not sure I buy this notion I'm seeing he's anti fighting/aggression. He's a coach who once dressed both Clifford and Simmonds at the same time in the playoffs.....

It was actually pretty funny. I watched an interview with Scott a few years later and he said that he wasn’t going to hurt Phil just rag doll him a bit but when Phil started whacking him in the legs all he want to do was bear hug him to stop his stick

It's not really the loss that's bothering me it's that we lost another valuable player to a rat being dirty and the team yet again rolls over and does nothing about it.

I swear to god the fans care more than the team at this point. They seem so indifferent to everything.

I didn't like the commitment to mediocrity when it was Dubas, but I understood it. These core players were his guys and Keefe was his coach. With Treliving, it's just baffling. Stepping in as the new guy in town in a market desperate for a fresh start and he has just taken the same general concept we've seen fail over and over again but just made it worse

Which makes you question who really is calling the shots? Goes back to MLSE. Having superstars like JT, Nylander, Matthews and Marner brings in a shit load of money to this team and it’s almost guaranteed they make the playoffs (this year not off to a great start but I doubt they miss the playoffs) Sure MLSE would love if the leafs make a run in the playoffs, but more important to them is having these superstars for the revenue they generate, the ‘skill’ they bring in the regular season which excites the casual fan and being perennial playoff locks. Winning in the playoffs = Secondary. They will keep making excuses and there won’t be enough accountability. I can’t think of another franchise that keeps failing and seemingly has no accountability. They essentially don’t have to worry about having balls, not necessary for the job.

I am not saying you are wrong but no team really goes back at players anymore.

Florida did nothing when McAvoy smoked OEL.

The only two teams that seem to do anything and it is usually against each other is Arizona/Anaheim.

Tavares is still a decent player but a horrible captain. We don't really have anyone who's captain material....maybe Reilly...
