If we trade Matthews and Marner we might as well just start another rebuild. An aging Tavares and O’Rielly aren’t leading this team anywhere.

I am worried it will be Nylander who gets movef if they go out in the first.

Which could bring back a good package but I am not sold he is the issue.

I am not worried about losing Game 1. I wouldn't plan the parade had they won.

Keefe is not a good playoff coach. Bunting has been ineffective all season and Jarnkrok was great with Matthews and Marner and he doesn't start them together. Liljegren being sat down for Holl and Schenn was also brutal. Knies and Liljegren in ZAR and one of Schenn or Holl out.

What if we win the series and make a deep run ? It's 1 game, takes 4 to win a series. Everyone just take a deep breath. It was a shit f***ing game, it happens. Remember last year ? We won game 1, I think 6-0 ?

Samsonov played his absolute worst. The positive ? He can only play better next game.

Wes McCauley was absolutely f***ing brutal. The positive ? The officiating can only be better next game.

Sucks to lose, but there's a lot of hockey to be played. And after a game like that, you can only trend up. I look forward to game 2 and am expecting a dominating win from the Leafs. I'm not wishing any harm on the Tampa players, but if Hedman/Cernak miss time, they are in a lot of trouble. That's their 2 best defensive D-men.

There comes a time where you ave to cut your losses and come to the realization when a certain group of players have it and when they don’t. And Matthews, Marner, Nylander etc have proven time after time after time after time that they simply DO NOT have it come playoff time.

Two core peices need to go. Nylander is one, and Matthews probably #2. Giving Matthews 15m or whatever he'll blackmail from this team is inexcusable.

Coach's job is to get his team ready, start on time and not screw off. And if things fall off the railings then coach on the fly and adjust.

You're absolutely right they haven't done that in the past - but the law future games are still undecided,.and the guys are older.snd the lineup is different . Leafs crushed the lightening game 1 last series and it didn't help.

I don't know how you could lay any of this at the feet of Matthews, and to a lesser extent Marner (he's a primary penalty killer and Tampa scored 4 power play goals).

Core 4 again had a rough night but hard to get any flow with all the penalties. Nylander was best out of the 4.
