I'd go

Jarnkrok. Matthews. Nylander
Knies. O'Reilly. Marner
Kerfoot. Tavares. Acciari
Bunting. Kampf. Lafferty

McCabe. Liljegren
Reilly. Brodie
Gio. Schenn

Samsonov
Woll
Switch Knies and Kerfoot. If you’re playing O’Reilly and Marner together, you’re matching them up with Tampa’s best line. Knies’ defensive game isn’t at that level right now.

Honestly, just sit on their back checkers and grab their sticks out of their hands and no reason why we shouldn't win the next 4

Did they stop noting the review was inconclusive? The phrase they used on ice was "after reviewing the play the puck crossed the line and the play was confirmed"

All of that suggested they saw it in their replay.
Not sure, I just heard good goal.

I would assume they have views that we don't see on tv as well.

For all the crying going on about whether it was or wasn't a goal the part being overlooked is why couldn't the goalie make a simple save there?

It's pretty conclusively not a goal. They keep talking about the post, but nobody else is talking about the post. You can draw a straight line across the goal line itself and easily see that it's not over the goal line.

Either way, there's also the issue that it was called a goal on the ice despite the ref not actually seeing it across the line.

So either they messed up, or they messed up. Either way, they messed up.

I think like the clip noted it’s more that Perry’s celebration influenced the call on the ice as there’s no way the ref saw the puck completely cross the line. So the call on the ice was good goal in the first place which changed everything. Good on Perry but man that’s frustrating.

Fixed it for 100% accuracy.

Further to that, I find I tough to believe that from behind the puck, the ref also saw it fully cross the line pinned up against the twine/post.
At half piston… watch the overhead. He signals as Corey puts his hands in the air and then Wes skates another 15 feet to get to the net.. the call was made at the bottom of the circle.

I’m a referee and I know that you can’t see that angle. He was bamboozled as bad as the CBC federal funding bar graph that was recently cited after being labeled state media.

I hope Corey Perry's stick is alright after that nasty slash it took last night.

I'll say that those plays happen so fast that it's often difficult to distinguish a stick lift from stick check from a slash on the hands. I don't think that was one of those instances. It was clear at full speed that it was stick on stick contact both visually and by the reaction of the puck carrier. What it seemed like was the type of call you see after a referee knows he couldn't make a call on a preceding legal yet lethal collision.

The Leafs and Tampa are very similar teams.

We had much better Goaltending this year.

Leafs are a better team in the regular season overall.

Holl and Keefe are the weak links. Tampa Bay's slap shots from the point on the Power play were super effective again.

They knew the importance of tonight a full year ago.

They knew it was against the Lightning months ago.

They knew it was on home ice weeks ago.

...and they still showed up like that?

This series is long from over. But some of you have continually believed in this group of players. They've let you down in the past, and they're going to let you down again

I just can’t get over the fact that it was ZAR making an Engvall style feather pass into the feet of Lafferty on an easy zone out vs their 4th line.

Except for Bunting's really dumb play, most of our penalties came because we lost position one-on-one.

Credit Tampa for outplaying us and earning them, rather than blaming the refs.

Yeah agreed, not complaining about the ones called against us, more so the ones that Tampa got away with and were not called. I find it hard to believe that a team as soft as melted butter can get 8 PIM's and Tampa get 2 up till the 3rd...

the only embarrassment that hasn't happened yet in the dubas era is either a 4-0 sweep OR being up 3-0 and losing the series 3-4. Obviously the 2nd option is out the door so....

here is hoping though that the buds come out angry and pissed off and route tampa 4 games straight. If Leafs have any pride they won't lose game 2 and go on to win the series
I was totally expecting a lot of pushback and hits in the 3rd after they got down so far. I really thought they might try and send a message...they did..they said you guys won this one and we shall try it again in a few days. That lifeless 3rd worries me more than anything else that happened. They just accepted it whole heartedly.
