Matthews competed all game and had 2 points. He doesn't PK and was left off the ice for 1/3 of the game.

Marner somehow had 3 points but it looked lkke he had the worst game of the bunch.

In a game the team looked out of sync and they can combine for 5 points, I think they should be able to help out

Unfortunately our goalie that was supposedly our saviour after our other saviour goalie was injured most of the year played bad.
Where do we go from here? Do we put Sammy back in…….can we trust him or are all our eggs in the basket or Woll

Samsanov looked like he was overplaying the puck from the first shot... if he can stay calm, you go with him, if not, Woll it is. I don't think there are many other options.

Knies and Liljegren HAVE TO be in next game no matter what and I wouldn't be against giving Woll the start in net next game either. That would be a risk that could blow up in your face or maybe Woll becomes the next Binnington and provides insane goaltending that helps the Leafs win.

I fully expect Samsonov starts game 2.

Also not sure why the hell Nylander is being taken off PP1? I understand that O'Reilly scored, but I would argue that when Willy is on, he is our best PP player. And he is always on in the playoffs.

Nylander was on the ice for 2 of them.

He was better than he's been most of the season, but he wasn't exactly"on" tonight.

1 power play goal, 4 total shots, 0 hits, 0 blocked shots in 16 minutes doesn't exactly scream good playoff game to me in terms of effort.

We have people like Cleetus saying that Matthews and Marner have to be better:

Marner with 3 assists, 0 even strength goals against, 3 shots, 2 hits, 1 blocked shot in 22 minutes with 4:33 penalty kill.


I mean, can those players be better?
Yes.

Did they play poorly?

Not in the slightest.
