well it seems I am in the minority but it looked to me like the Leafs and Bruins were equally matched and actually in my opinion I would give the edge in play to the Leafs...I thought the Leafs were pushing pretty hard and deserved a better result, but luck is a part of the game...However the Bruins goalie seemed to almost always have his bodyparts in the right place at the right time...hopefully the Leafs won't get discouraged and just keep pushing.
Wait. Throwaway to rebuild? Next year has to be another throwaway year too no?I'm actually ok with the result. I always felt this was a throwaway year. Anything positive that happens these playoffs is just gravy.
Considering Nylander is always at practice and optional skates and even putting in extra time for him to not even be on the ice means something’s up.
Pure speculation, Keefe said that Nylander quit the last two weeks of the season and then he is a ghost for the playoffs? My guess is he is being disciplined. Even injured guys are in the press box watching the game. He's no where to be seen.
Winner winner chicken dinner…….Your right that it wasn’t the Bruins top guys scoring but the reason is that they didn’t spend 50% of their cap on 4 soft similar forwards and spread it around building a better balanced team.
He said goaltending wouldn’t be a factor in the series, so he’s wrong again………we need some of that EvilHomer positivity lol
Good one, he hates Hunter with a passion even though all he does is win and produce NHL players………London just swept Kitchener, BTW.
They pay elite skilled players to score and yet every playoffs said players disappear like a popcorn fart……..It's not like you have a skill alternative that does anything.
Cardiac disappearance……….Is Matthews hurt?
How do they move the players with NMC’s? This fiasco has no quick fixes like Babcock said “there will be pain”, but who actually thought he meant going on close to a decade of pain?Gut the whole thing, please.
He needs to adopt the George Costanza theory that if everything I say is wrong the exact opposite is right………Swear, if that guys gambles, he's gonna be bloody homeless soon.
Want a winner in Toronto? Start lobbying for a second NHL team because this organization is cursed with incompetence form top to bottom……..Kinda wish we could send the Leafs organizatiton over to Utah and start fresh with the Coyote liquidation sale here in Toronto.
Shanahan and Keefe come to mind! What is it about this team that makes them just addicted to embarrassing themselves?
I’ve been saying that for awhile now. It’s long overdue, Shanny needs to go!Garbage team.
Tired of people pumping these guys up for regular season stats. It's embarrassing. Bad coaching, terrible goaltending, and the stars are nowhere to be seen.
Shanny and company are bozos for dragging this coach and core for so many years.
I'm pretty tired of the excuses. The problem is staring at us directly in the face and we refuse to acknowledge it.
I cannot believe people watched that game and are saying with a straight face 11M player X had a good game and a different coach would've won us the game.
I mean when you look at their roster, that thought does come to mind. But then again, I counted them out the last few years and look how that turned out. They have veteran leadership, a winning culture, great coaching, and great goal tending.haha... honestly, I think TOR was dumb/needlessly anxious/too obsessed with hitting and being tough.
BOS took advantage of what they gave them. The first goal was on a two-on-one that really shouldn't have happened.
Then a goal on a shot that perhaps should have been stopped.
Then two PP goals on stupid and pointless penalties.
Then an EN goal.
BOS' goaltending was better (no surprise there). TOR needs to cut down on the mistakes and needs their stars to put some damn goals on the board. BOS isn't anything great. If TOR can't put these losers in their place, another team will do it without too much difficulty.
What a comparison. Lol. One of the worst franchises in the league in terms of playoff appearances. Maybe you're referring to the 08-09 CBJ?This team reminds me of the mid 2000s CBJ, they had a regular season superstar and nothing else, came playoff time the first line was shutdown by the other team and they got no other lines to contribute anything.
I don’t know where you would ever get that idea. Nylander has been one of our best playoff performers for the past few years. What exactly happened to Nylander?
Is he pulling a Freddie Andersen and just not feeling like playing?
You sure? Marner was all over the place. And give it to who exactly? 34? The guy who was completely invisible? 16? Another ghost.
The $10+ mm players were closer to being a liability than being good.I'm pretty tired of the excuses. The problem is staring at us directly in the face and we refuse to acknowledge it.
I cannot believe people watched that game and are saying with a straight face 11M player X had a good game and a different coach would've won us the game.
Gotta’ hope that the Samsonov from round 1 last year shows up. But I’m not holding my breath waiting for it to happen.I thought the game was closer than the score... regardless it is 1-0, the score doesn't matter.
Goaltending in this series concerns me. Swayman/Ullmark can steal games, our goalies can help lose games.
Also thought the officiating was trash, but also not why we lost.
Even providing perspective to that guy, he’s as biased as they come, don’t know why he still posts here, he’s obviously a Dubas disciple………Duba's had 9 years. Tell me what I'm missing?
HOW????There had better be big changes in the off season .
Yeah…Moneypuck’s numbers from last night are a bit skewed lol
Nothing skewed at all. Beyond some mistakes and questionable goaltending, on balance, the leafs outplayed the Bruins. Need to shore up positions at fault next game.Yeah…Moneypuck’s numbers from last night are a bit skewed lol
