In all fairness Brodie has been really, really, really bad as of late. He needs to get his head back into the game. Either that or he's just cooked... I dunno.

Also both domi and matty cost da team badly with terrible penalties which caused 2 bruin pp goals against .. both were penalties which should never have occured .. but 5 to 3 on penalty calls in a playoff game is bad game mgmt from refs .. how does this occur? .. i know exactly how it happens .. and i expected it ftom jacobs

Like, I think I'm more interested in the possible changes they could make if they do lose than their actual performance.

He isn't wrong. Toronto came out buzzing. Swayman made a huge save, the Leafs were hitting everyone, then Reaves made a terrible read and tried to hit a guy Edmundson was covering and caused the 2 on 1.

Pure speculation, Keefe said that Nylander quit the last two weeks of the season and then he is a ghost for the playoffs? My guess is he is being disciplined. Even injured guys are in the press box watching the game. He's no where to be seen.

Unless it's something affecting his foot/ankles making it difficult to move around. If he's limping they may not have wanted that on camera.

They were running around and not playing good defense. That was 90s style hockey and while entertaining, there is a reason that teams don't play that style anymore. You can be not soft, land some hits, and still play sound positional hockey.

What you call a "goaltending difference" I call a lack of killer instinct and finish. And it happens every freaking playoffs.

Frame your stat sheet and hang it on the wall and pretend the leafs won the cup this year.

Before the series, Kyper said Domi can play that way but he needs to take Marchand with him. If he des, it is a win for the Leafs. Last night Marchand 1 - Domi 0.

We killed our speed to add grit. It's a misguided understanding of what this team was actually lacking

They play a better structured game. Leafs play a chaotic game.

I feel like he was going for personal achievements the last two weeks of the season even though he was hurt. He looked like he was playing hurt imo.

Hopefully Nylander is back next game. Horrible luck to have him injured after playing all 82 games. WTF did he even do that's keeping him out of a playoff game?
If not, we may need to change up the lines, because this top line heater seems to have run out, and I don't know if Domi and Bert can handle that responsibility.
Put Brodie back in. Sit Reaves and Edmundson, and stop giving up position to throw meaningless hits.
Stop taking stupid penalties. Boston gets enough of an officiating advantage naturally. We don't need to help them.
Special teams need to be better. PK was left to die this year, but our PP also needs to score when they have an extended 4 on 3 and a chance to tie it.
I don't even know which goalie to go to next.
