Just saying, since the day he signed a lot of "Dubas Haters" said Dubas had nothing to do with the signing and he was coming no matter what.

Now that he's struggling the narrative has turned 180.
What difference does it make? A contract was still put in front of him to sign.

** I believe he was coming anyways and was happy for it.

Is it just me or is there a group of vulture posters that just crawled out from under their rock to bash and taunt? I’m kind of picking that up and I’m not in a bad mood ha.
I’m happy Andersen days are done and Campbell is coming in. There are some sketchy gloating types of posts I’m finding. Ignore them like i am if you agree. Don’t have to like or reply :)

I came out for opposite reason haha. Sky is always falling over here it seems.

Add traffic in front to his list of excuses.

  1. Traffic
  2. 2 on 1s
  3. Deflections
  4. Too much time off
  5. Too many consecutive games
  6. D is terrible
  7. Playing injured
Waiting for: Not enough fans in the stands to cheer him on

Someone needs to ask Freddy why his backup goalies have a .957 and .922 save percentage while he's rocking his .897 none of the goals are my fault bullshit

It would have been ugly for him if there was a crowd present tonight. No doubt.

Andersen played his best hockey when there was no pressure on him when we weren't expected to win he folded in the playoffs under pressure when we had a chance to win now that there is expectations for us to win he's folding under pressure again in the season see a pattern?

When people were happy with the signing:
Dubas haters - Dubas deserves no credit.

When people aren't happy with signing:
Dubas haters - This is completely on Dubas

Just proves the BS nonsensical hate for the GM. He has done good and bad things, but some people can't accept that.

More good then bad imo, but that's just my opinion.

Smoke and mirrors, I think Dubas was never looking for a forward.

Good luck bringing in a goaltender at the deadline two weeks of quarantine afterwards. Dubas will tweak around the edges and begin making excuses for an early first round exit.

I know we're not allowed to blame Andersen but I'd just like to point out:

Calgary Flames @ Toronto Maple Leafs, 2021-03-19

Expected goals: 2.79 Toronto, 1.21 Calgary

Scoring chances: 36 Toronto, 12 Calgary

High danger scoring chances: 14 Toronto, 4 Calgary

The Leafs had more High Danger Scoring Chances than Calgary had TOTAL scoring chances!

Save percentage: Toronto .778 | Calgary .889

Wanna make it worse ?

Change the option at the top from 5v5 to all situations...

Edit: sorry you already did (it defaults to 5v5)

This is what I have always felt, its like he needs to be the underdog to really shine. Consistency was never his strong suit.

If Andersen bounces back from this and leads the team in the playoffs winning the starting spot (ala Holtby 2018) he should get a statue on legends row and his number honored (we don't retire right?).

If he folds like a cheap tent and ends up sulking and being a distraction leading to a terrible regular season/early playoff exit, he will be remembered less fondly than Toskala/Gustavsson/Bernier/Reimer etc.

His legacy as a leaf and as a player for the most part will be decided this year. Balls in your court Andy. Time to shut the noise out and stop the puck. Whenever he gets his name game, he needs to be ready to play like it could be his final NHL game if he falters again. Time to prove himself

He's very lucky no doubt. I've been pushing for him, but two terrible excuses after two terrible games, he's losing all of his staunchest supporters.
Excuses are just a way to keep his confidence up.

I rarely see interviews just read these quotes. It’s hard to know the context of the answer without knowing the question.
